Starmie25 13,562
Reminder the GAGA: CHROMATICA BALL premiere had many interviews where she spoke about the direction of LG7 and both "genre bending" and "pushing sound", were all there guys. And this was back in May FYI. Dark/electronic pop will obviously be incorporated (Disease, Abracadabra, Notorious), but LG7 will delve into other territory too as we can see with the "zombie gay" snippet, Gaga mentioning "dreamy" section in Rolling Stone and now DWAS, which will be a nice ending to the album me thinks (hopefully) If you really believe she scrapped most of LG7 to create more DWAS inspired tracks then you may be delusional. Buckle up!! We are so closeeeee. Edited 6 hours ago by Starmie25

princedeeblebleble 581
I don't think most people are mad about breaking genre as much as they are annoyed about the inconsistentcy about the nature of DWAS

LadyLuca 2,453
im so confused why ppl are upset about that... dont they know gaga. shes always done that. ARTPOP had the most genere mixes. Born this Way had many too. Like? I mean Chromatica was a mix of electronic house music with classical string interludes. Our singer is a pop Jazz rock singer. Thats what Gaga does. LG7 will be just like that 1

Kayi 1,098
DWAS is a song that talk about love with an unpersonal point of view, sure, so that's why some ppl complain about it. But I do think it can works. Let me explain... I think that DWAS will be a song that she will describe as a love song that you can dedicate to all the ppl you like. It could be the last track on the album with the more positive tracks. Not convinced ? Let's figure LG7 as Dante's journey between Hell, Purgatory and Heaven. Positive tracks about love and peace. Some tracks are hellish, focus on pain (Zombified). Some other purgate, Gaga use these track to transit to more positive feelings. "Die with a smile" evokate the idea of a spiritual peace, it's like "TEOG", there's the idea of death (something dark). But love clears, as long as you're near to the loved one you can accept death. The lyrics are truly spiritual at some point. And Bruno and Gaga's vocals sounds like Angelical, religious to me. I made a thread some days ago about the possible themes of the album. Some of my theories has evolved but I think I found some big hints.
