Yes, yes, i'm aware of "music not the bling", but guys Gaga is a major artist and will always have to balance the two. It doesn't mean she's throwing her "artistic integrity" away! Far from it.

Hell "DWAS" may just be added to a deluxe who knows? In the end, DWAS still her song too, big moment obviously, for Bruno too and personally I play Disease/DWAS back to back quite a bit haha 

Also during the pandemic she pretty much let the Chromatica album speak for itself so sometimes, the scale can be tipped. 

Bring on the multiple chaos of LG7 Gags! We thank u dearly for 2024 !

DWAS is not just bling…. It’s art 

it’s a classic ballad with Gaga continuing to build her profile in this area and smartly experimenting with 70s soft rock sound …. The way she’s building a ballad sub-legacy to let her vocals shine with Shallow, ARUTW, I’ll never love again, Million Reasons, Hold my Hand, and even going back to Till it happens to you, Speechless…. All these pieces of art are expressions of truth, love, broken hearts, and pain at each song’s core… this is not bling 

They will be continuously played to bring people together or even by those that feel alone to reconcile emotions, they’ll serve as cornerstones for young talent to cover through social media or on TV - trying to make something of themselves and craft their talent, they’ll be played at weddings, funerals, at moments that people remember forever in their lives. Ballads transcend from standard chart music - they are expressions of truth and pain which the artist gives to the world, and they become part of the world, beyond the hit 

Even if the song wasn’t originally planned to be on the album… If the song’s sound and message is speaking to people so strongly (as demonstrated by success) - it makes sense to become a stronger facet of Gaga lore and become part of the LG7 fabric….. if this drives added commercial success that’s just because the music is actually good and has universal acclaim! Where’s the crime on that?

It literally is a Bruno song lmao. She said it in the carpool thing. Bruno wrote part of it and approached her to finish it together.

If it belongs on any album it belongs on his. Putting it on LG7 is like slapping TIHTY and The Cure on Joanne or HMH on Chromatica. Well, at least those are Gaga's songs and not "featuring Lady Gaga"

The ONLY reason DWAS is even touching LG7 is to give it an automatic streaming boost.

The fact that some of you pretend to not understand why that upsets a lot of us makes me wanna apologize for defending her against the Nurtec meltdowners, the Haus Labs meltdowners, the Chromatica promo meltdowners, etc.

We'll get over it though. I might even stream her album a couple times.

Wishing her all the success on her private jet while her billionaire fiance puts softball sized rocks on her fingers. 'Cause god knows if anyone's hurting and needs to boost their sales by chipping away at their own project's integrity it's famously-starving artist Lady f*cking Gaga.

Not sure why I pegged her as the type to say "I've made my money, let me have some fun now". She did the total opposite lmao. The richer she gets, the more brand deals she grabs, the more PR friendly moves she makes, the more trends she hops on, the less she expends to do anything of importance.

Can't even say Harris' name while giving her a whoooole ten minutes of campaign "work" (singing two songs and giving no real statement) when everything she claims to stand for was on the line and all for the sake of PR for a movie that ended up flopping hard anyway  

Ditches Joker, a project she was enthusiastic about, 'cause the reception was bad. Ditches Harlequin 'cause of it's association with Joker despite it being one of her best bodies of work to date and clearly a passion project for her. Ditches Disease 'cause DWAS was making more money. Slaps DWAS on the album so the album can make more money.

One disappointment after another. I literally never cared about brand deals but this crap has leaked into her art (acting and music) and I'm sick of it.

Y'all wanted meltdowns well here's my contribution. A true meltdown. This is the sound of my stan card finally being burned after a few years of side eyeing someone I used to idolize.

Will reevaluate my mod status here at a later time 'cause I love this community even though I've fallen HARD out of love with Gaga. For now I'm gonna go nurse my little fee-fees with other musicians.

You're downplaying Gaga's part on DWAS like haters do... 

Why would they release it on Gaga's channel and as a Gaga song if it was Bruno ft. Gaga? Bruno literally has more subs so it wasn't even a commercial move. But Bruno might as well add DWAS & APT on his upcoming album, who knows... This is still a better move than letting The Cure rot as an orphan track.

How many interviews she did for Joker when nobody on the cast gives a ****? Ditches Disease? Where? She release two alternative versions with different productions and vocal inputs. Ditch Harlequin? What do you want her to do? Send the songs to jazz radio? Stfu and just enjoy the music if you can’t stop insulting her.

I really don't mind DWAS on the album, actually I kinda want it to be there. But I BEG THEM to put it somewhere that makes sense on the tracklist.

 

If they really want streams, can't they put it as streaming deluxe track? A genuine question. Would it do the same trick or does it have to be in the standard version?
