Well that's just diminished my hype for LG7. DWAS and Disease sound nothing alike so the album isn't gonna be cohesive at all, I understand from a business point of view DWAS being such a success it's good for the album's streaming numbers etc. but yeah this is a mess.

Think about the snippets of abracadabra and notorious being and dance in the shadow and the snippet of the new song in the disease music video, she said herself this album is all about chaos and has lots of different genres, I trust she’ll find a way to make it cohesive and make sense, but I also have no doubt it’s going to have LOTS of dark pop dance moments

I fear the album is going to be extremely uncohesive then.

Well so is CHARTDROP yet yall still love and survived that.

We’ve had 6-7 amazing snippets leaked by Gaga and others.

It’s obviously going to be a dance industrial pop album, first and foremost.

Here’s y’all’s ARTPOP ACT II ig

Not surprised it's on. And by the sounds of it, its the album closer track.

Her talking about the genre fusions and bending coming on LG7 make me think the collab rumours around the Weeknd and Rosé may have more truth to them than we realise. She just seems to be in a very collaborative and exploratory mood.

If the album is called CHAOS that mean whatever she puts there will be cohensive. Look how ARTPOP is multi genere and still cohensive. Just listen to Venus, Manicure, Fashion! and Dope.

Visually DWAS starts with an old tv screen and Disease lyrics video is also tv themed. We should wait for all the music and visuals to judge but I'm happy with her decision

For anyone having meltdowns:

Imagine Speechless being the lead in TFM and smashing hard.

Would you consider TFM a mess?

I can see why DWAS is part of LG7 and I am totally cool with it. That doesn't mean a thing about the sonic vibes from the rest of the album.

This.
Especially as she says DWAS is the ending song. Aka, they tacked it onto the end like what every album has done with co-opted standalone singles since time began.

"Is the song connected to whatever’s happening on LG7?

Absolutely. “Die With a Smile” is on my record — it’s a huge part of my album. It was like this missing piece. The record is full of my love of music — so many different genres, so many different styles, so many different dreams. It leaps around genre in a way that’s almost corrupt. And it ends with love. That’s the answer to all the chaos in my life is that I find peace with love. Every song that I wrote, I just kept getting kind of swept away in these different dreams I was having about the past — almost like a recollection of all these bad decisions that I made in my life. But it ends in this very happy place."

Well that's just diminished my hype for LG7. DWAS and Disease sound nothing alike so the album isn't gonna be cohesive at all, I understand from a business point of view DWAS being such a success it's good for the album's streaming numbers etc. but yeah this is a mess.

Speechless is on The Fame Monster and we all ****ing love it. Chill

With HMH the same situation on Chromatica, but it's bonus track

“Cohesive” is something Gaga albums rarely are.

Speechless doesn’t fit on The Fame Mons†er at all yet there it is. I barely listen to it bc of that. It’s fine. The Fame Mons†er is still a pop bible.

You and I didn’t fit, Disco Heaven didn’t fit, Perfect Illusion didn’t fit, and Dope didn’t fit but ARTPOP can’t even really be defined genre wise.

The meltdowns are just people who don’t like the song/find it a cheap move… but just say that and not act like Gaga is known for cohesiveness/staying in a box

The Ew from Judas

I think it’s pretty obvious that DWAS was added to LG7 last minute because of its success. I don’t think we should start labeling it as a lead single-the lead single is still disease. This is just an additional, previously standalone song being added into the album.
I see it as just kind of a bonus. They’re giving DWAS a home on this album so it’s no longer standalone, and since it’s a previous song that is now being added, I doubt it will replace anything that was already on there.

i get people’s concerns that it’ll make the album inconsistent, and there’s a part of me that screams “obvious business move” but like i said I think we really just need to see it as “this is just a previous song being thrown on as a bonus.”
