Bronco 27,697
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cnv35lp14z9t The jury for the trial of the 50+ men accused of r*ping Gisèle Pelicot after she was repeatedly drugged by her husband Dominique Pelicot have returned verdicts today and all men including Dominique Pelicot will also be sentenced today. For context: Earlier this year headline news was made in France when the case of Gisèle Pelicot's abuse by her husband was made public as charges were announced and the trial began. Dominique Pelicot was accused of repeatedly drugging his wife Gisèle over a decade and inviting numerous men from an online website to come and sexually assault her. The men were of varied ages and backgrounds and included nurses, army members, firefighters and retirees. One of the youngest men identified is currently 30. Dominique was also accused of assaulting another man's wife, that man had also drugged his wife after getting involved in abusing Gisèle. Dominique was also found to possess indecent images of multiple women including some of his daughters/daughters in law. Some of the men identified as having abused Gisèle have also been found with child abuse material. Gisèle bravely waived her anonymity and has become a major rallying figure in France. Today the jury has returned verdicts and found all men guilty of either aggravated r*pe or sexual assault. Multiple others have been found guilty of possessing CSA. Dominique Pelicot has also been found guilty of abusing another man's partner & drugging other women within his life and taking indecent images of them. The BBC link should show a live feed of reporting from the trial as sentencing is delivered. The gays know how to party
Bronco 27,697
Disappointingly at sentencing the sentences passed down have generally been quite a bit shorter than what was requested by Prosecutors. The gays know how to party

Nite 5,913
I don't know what I expected, but this wasn't it: "For the defendants other than Dominique Pelicot, sentences ranged from three to 15 years imprisonment, with some of the time suspended for some of them. Arata told six defendants they were now free, accounting for time already spent in pretrial detention."
