it was just shortlisted for best sound at the oscars lol

Even if it wasn't nominated for the awards, it's still good to get people to check it out.

Initially, yes. Attitudes are changing now after the heat has cooled down.

The people that saw JFAD in theaters were about 10% Gaga fans and 90% comic book incel bros that idolized the first movie. The latter group started the hate train and then as a result the general public largely decided to save their $15 and skip it.

That's Joker 2! Funny as it seems, some people get their kicks just stompin' on your idea of what makes a movie "good"

Spoiler

But we don't let it get us down, cuz this big ol' award cycle keeps on spinning around :crossed:

Yeah because thats the target audience the movie is marketing to

And the normies going to the movie are also expecting a typical action Batman movie

Some people just hate on the movie because they jumped on the bandwagon. Give it a shot first, you might actually like it. Of course some people might like it but say they hated it for the sake of not going against the popular opinion.

I thought it was okay. I definitely left wanting a little more. Maybe more action maybe a bigger shock moment or even “wow that’s amazing!” moment.

I’ll rewatch it and see if I connect with something I didn’t the first time. Plus, I like “bad” movies (Showgirls is my favorite movie) so I’ll enjoy it regardless.  Or I can turn it off. But at least I have it another shot.
