Sources tell me that the actor will reprise his role Chad Meeks-Martin for the seventh installment of the horror franchise. Jasmin Savoy Brown, who plays Chad’s sister Mindy, has not officially signed on yet.

I feel like the new script is actually quite the same than the original just without Melissa and Jenna. But the rest is pretty much the same. 

Apparently the orginal script was about making Neve and Courteney the main characters anyway. Jenna only had a short appearance (probably the opening kill). So yeah I could see Mason getting the same role as planned tbh

Chad has no connection to Sidney besides Martha now and I can’t tell if Mindy will be returning yet. It almost makes it feel like he’s the opening kill to shake everyone or he’s the killer - the killer theory being - this working title is called scar tissue and that makes me think of Dewy and then Chad.

Im also going to be a little weirded out if Kirby isn’t involved since she follows the Ghostface murders and the cult of ghostface on the web. Cult of Ghostface was also Kevin Williamsons idea for the 3rd film and it’s been hinted at since 5. 
 

From what I understood it was Sam and Sidney that were main characters, Tara dies about 1/2 way through and that’s what pushes Sam overboard and it was unclear if she was sane by the end. 
 

I am now hearing that it’s gonna be a soft remake of part 4 basically
