Will Disease Be Promoted After Christmas Freeze?

I wonder. They released the lead so close to christmas freeze (and with a long album gap to add to that)

 

She promoted alternate versions and interscope posted "going top 10" even as disease is so low on charts

 

Do you think this suggests they believe in the song and are gonna try to give it one more push in the new year?

The wisest thing I think would be to release a second single and promote both songs (radio interviews, tv performances etc).

Disease is never going to be a hit, the GP simply wasn't here for it, but it can still serve it's purpose as a way to promote the album.

Those studio version videos she dropped didn’t make noise so eh it’s not going places. It’s a solid song, she’s already got a huge single rn though and generally is an album pusher these days so it is what it is

Highly doubt it. Christmas freeze doesn't stop anyone from promoting anything. I think she is bound to perform the song for TV at least once due to her contract though. Maybe a mash-up somewhere like she did during the Chromatica era.

Nonetheless this is extremely disappointing. We were all so excited for the comeback of Crazyga and we got nothing but accoustic versions in a fancy studio, that makes 0 sense

I don't think so, I think maybe they released it early to have something distracting from jokerFAD but I guess move on to 2nd single after Christmas since Disease didn't catch with GP

Common sense would be no as it doesn’t make sense to flog a dead horse (esp with the album being so close after xmas).

But with her team’s track record, probably yes, they will do another TikTok, pat themselves on the back for doing such revolutionary promotion (and mention it in a magazine interview).

Disease is not early by any means. And it's not released for distraction . It's already announced just before JFAD premiere in Venice that the song will be released in month of October, just no fixed date. She posted that herself.

If anything, Disease were supposedly released around the hype of JFAD and Halloween, but it backfires. The dark visuals kinda match lbr

i dont think so tbh. gaga's last 2 albums have kind of had this thing where the first single is kind of meant to be a fire starter, not the main event (PI, SL) and then the 2nd single is where she usually goes all in promo wise (MR, ROM)

It seems like a heavy song that needs more time to reach ppl. Its not easy sudden catch on so i dunno if a little persistence can be good

 

Gaga also doesnt not get hits effortlessly these days without promo... shallow had promo, DWAS had Bruno Mars help, ROM had Ariana assist as well

 

A solo hit take off organically effortlessly in the last 10 years without much effort I think only happened once with ARUTW if you think about it. 

 

Once she broke into fame in late 2008 virtually everything she released was a hit up until Applause with the exeption of MTN. But since that peak ended, Gaga has always needed an extra nudge to get any hits in her career as a general rule

 

Not hating but simply stating the facts. Major solo hits without major efforts in the last 11 to 12 years have been almost non existant
