Economy 47,879
Stupid to criticize. They are different actors and they were paired up. Obviously each one will talk about their experience. It doesnt have to be some hard competition. Like who cares? Ur role is ur role and comedy is legitimate as well Edited December 6, 2024 by Economy

djBuffoon 12,029
The people who criticize comedic acting, I would be willing to bet, have never done stand-up or appeared in a comedy film or play. With drama, if you buy into the stakes of the situation, your work is mostly done. With comedy, there are stakes and timing to make it funny. Jim Carrey and Lucille Ball are excellent examples of this. Watch their best work and you will see skilled actors who are not only committed to the emotional truth of the scene, but also impeccable timing and physicality that make it hilarious to watch.
MadArchitect 628
he's reaching and theres definetely an intention in the creators to set a tone or to sway one way or another, like what about Lars Von Tier's Melancholia is really comedic? lol, unless you find funny that the world is ending on its main character tragedy, but thats just you being cynical, the overlong dramatic slowmo artistic shots and the hyperfixation on the main character's anxiety and suffering say otherwise, theres nothing comedic about it. What he says is partially true, but for projects that really intentinally blur the lines between comedy and tragedy. He's acting as if the comedy in deadpool has any depth to it, it's literally just marvel silly popcorn comedy, at least the one movie ive seen, the cacharacters do have a dramatic arc of course, but most of the comedy is not really tied to it.. Reality 73,523
Comedy definitely has its own set of skills that I don't think many people truly understand or appreciate. He's right to defend it in that regard. That said, I don't like his style of comedy at all ᗰᗩYᕼEᗰ || 🦇👹🖤
Gagaism 10,129
Especially because most of the times comedians can do drama if they dedicate to. On the contrary, it’s really hard for drama oriented actors to do comedy. 2
faysalaaa 3,244
I agree, but hes not a comedy actor, hes just a person that plays himself in every movie because people love seeing him. A good example of that is Jennifer Aniston. Edited December 6, 2024 by faysalaaa 1 3
