Oh you still don’t understand what I was saying at all. The “more is better” is a direct comment on the number of variants, where most of these variants weren’t really offering “new” songs. It would offer a voice memo or a “live” version, clearly a cheap cash grab and is disgusting overconsumption, nothing to be glorified. There’s a different between releasing say a standard and deluxe variant, but when they’re almost all essentially the same you cannot honestly say that’s a good thing. It’s wasteful and cheap tactics. 

Also, it’s rich that you’re calling me miserable and mean by calling this overconsumption deranged and then you proceed to call ME deranged and insinuate I’m stupid by finding it “hard to understand”. The extent to which taylor fans will lick her boots never ceases to me amaze me, that she can do no wrong. If Gaga pulled this **** I would unstan so fast. So no, I don’t think “more is better” for artists because the “more” actually has to give me something new with it, not rehashed “live” versions or a different picture on the front of the cover.

Are you not disturbed that this level of consumerism is both harmful for the environment and entirely unsustainable?

Like I literally do not give a sh*t whether or not there is *demand* for more Taylor content - I'm angry that she's feeding that demand with so much waste that will remain on this planet long after her brainwashed fanbase dies.

because that "marketing" was very exploitive of her fanbase and its undying loyalty. charging full price albums for just an extra voice note was insane and to do it shamelessly again and again and again (some of them falsely being limited time too) was also insane and the fact she got away with it is a BAD THING for consumers of music

it's one thing to have only a cosmetic difference in variants but to seperate so many songs like that just to inflate your own sales and ego whilst bleeding your fans that you "love so much" dry is incredibly unethical  

and i don't wanna hear no "but if gaga did it, you'd love it" bollocks. if gaga pulled that stunt, it would be the first time i pirate her music

As much as I understand the annoyance she brings in people, I do wonder - is it really coming from everyone thinking she is scamming people & being protective, or is it more so about being jealous (?) / not being able to contemplate the success she has?

I am the absolute opposite of a TS fan, I never bought anything, never went to her show, rarely play a song or two on spotify. But I am not going to pretend that she is not the most successful pop artist of today. If there is demand, who are we to judge how people spend their money?

I promise you it’s not jealously (at least from me lol). I don’t get jealous on behalf of Gaga, that’s just weird. I truly hate how much overconsumption she endorses and the extent of her carbon footprint, beyond the jets. And the fact that she doesn’t care about anyone else but herself at all, she’ll tweet about some joke made on television about her dating men but not tweet about telling her swifties to stop dropping the N word to beyonce because she didn’t win some stupid online billboard list.
