CautiousLurker 19,647 Posted December 4, 2024 Share Posted December 4, 2024 I'm surprised people think this will flop - most live action Disney remakes have been atrocious, but they make bank, at least to an extent that they keep making them, AND planning to make sequels to them on top of that... I've antipathy towards this movie primarily because Gal is in it, and Disney has been pivoting hard towards exploiting their artists and churning out soulless garbage (which is why CGI looks so bad btw - Disney has the most talented roster of visual artists period, but that's not gonna matter if they don't give those artists enough time and recourses to actually make quality work) I will say tho... Doesn't the apple scene kinda feel out of place, considering she's doing the whole 'You're evil and I'm reclaiming my kingdom' thing now? Like, if that whole stand off happens before the apple scene, why on earth would she take the apple from a conspicuously out of place person, like girl, you know what your stepmom is capable of Am I misreading that? It stuck out so much to me as something that made no sense given the rest of the trailer It's a joke! When you give me that look, it's a joke!
