If it wasn’t for this album, we wouldn’t have a lot of the heavy EDM music we have now. God this album and tour she put her whole heart into it

It was in hindsight an end of the rebel Gaga. I feel like everything after that chaos was very toned back, more calculated and designed to be inclusive to people outside the fanbase.

* 2014 :oops:

I loved the ARTPOP era so much. ArtRave is one of my favorite concerts ever. I loved the music, the energy, fashion, lights, everything! I still treasure my Ty plush cat just like I treasure the memories :sara:

I got the ten year anniversary thing mixed up. :sweat:

FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT. People like to argue that ARTPOP wasn't actually ahead of its time, but after this EDM surged again? In late 2013 people could only get mega EDM hits with acoustic elements like Avicii, and then in 2014 you had Break Free by Ariana Grande and the massive radio hit Cool For The Summer by Demi Lovato in 2015 etc. Plus, Lady Gaga was doing white girl trap YEARS before Ariana Grande and Halsey made it trendy.

In hindsight it feels very Brat as well, plus it can’t be understated how much Gaga is the reason all the DJs who surged in the 2010s got a chance to chart.

It has all this bone crushing and messy energy that the EDM of the modern era has

My first Gaga concert as I became a fan after DWUW. Back then I thought it was just a blast of a concert but had the impression I'd forget about her after a few months... Who would have said she became my num1 occidental artist, that I'd spend a fortune gathering her discogeaphy and that I'd travel the world to see her :vegas:
