I get what some of y’all are saying, but after a decade of this — I don’t think treating his voters simply as innocent souls that are poorly educated on the issues, is going to work anymore. 

2+2 does not equal 5, but for years we’ve had to engage with many of these voters as if the reality is that 2+2=5, facts aren’t facts, Trump’s words aren’t his words, and anything said to them otherwise isn’t true — so, I’m sorry, but this is what they wanted, at what cost, idfk, but here it is! Have it. 

We tried, but acting like many of them deserve civil discussions or any sense of compassion just makes us the fools.

I wouldn’t care if this only affected the US. That’s what they get for failing to at least learn what a tariff is. But… I’m from Mexico, so this will hit us really bad as well. I want to believe that we’ve found new trading partners after Trump’s last term, but our economy still relies very heavily on what the US says and does. 
 

Regardless, can’t wait to see the reactions of all the “Groceries are too expensive” voters.

The reality is most voters chose this. This is the third election where Trump was an option. If after EVERYTHING, this is what people choose, let them have it. 

But unfortunately yes, the people living below the poverty line will be disproportionately affected, like always. There are safeguards like schools and other organizations that will combat this. Although I empathize with people who didn't choose this, there is nothing we can do anymore. 

The worst thing is that, even if these people end of suffering, Trump and company will make them believe it was because of Biden decisions taken in the past, and they will believe it. It's the way populists do, and Trump and his likes are the best on that

Oh, and Trump must be a danger, but 100% of the responsability he is back in the power falls only in the people who voted for him

The crazy part is they keep saying “this is what we wanted! Tariffs on foreign goods!” because they think it’s gonna make consumers shift to American goods (the inferior ones, if they exist at all)
