Gaga’s albums to listen to to someone who is just staring to get into Gaga?

Let’s say you know someone who wants to get into Gaga and they wanna listen to all of her discography but don’t know where to begin. In what order would you recommend them to listen to her catalogue?

[Not gonna include CTC or LFS in this thread]

I’d have them start with TF only cuz of the iconic singles, then TFM followed by BTW, then Joanne to give them a total different feel of Gaga, next ARTPOP, then Chromatica followed by Harlequin and lastly, ASIB.

I want them to really get a feel of what she’s all about as an Artist and an understanding of how versatile she is.

Do ya agree with mine why or why not?

I think Gaga can be appreciated Better with the extramusical stuff as well. Maybe start with the fame Monster plus gagavision.

Also depends on the taste if they like more shallowga Is Better tò start with that part of her career and throw maybe some of her pre famega faves

In order of release of course.

TF, TFM, BTW, a handful of unreleased tracks, ARTPOP, C2C (she deserves her spot!), TIHTY, Joanne, TC, ASIB, Chromatica, a few DoC remixes, LFS, Harlequin, Disease/LG7

Just keep it chronological and leave nothing out. Give them Red and Blue and give them Tony, and give them visuals, concert footage, tv appearances, Howard Stern, all the tribute performances. Show them ASIB.

Tell them she was great in HOG and JFAD but don't show them the movies.

Sneaky Oliver

Thr Fame Monster

Chromatica

BTW is definitely the hardest one to digest but also it’s like the final treasure

Lmao your order just puts ARTPOP one slot over. Which makes complete sense and I'd do the same

Or actually I'd pick like 3- 5 songs from each album to get them started on and then go from there

1. The Fame Monster (Deluxe) - An insane 1, 2 punch! SEVEN global smash singles and some of her best deep cuts!

2. Chromatica - Her most recent pop album

3. Born This Way

4. ARTPOP

^^^^ These two could be interchangeable, in my opinion they are her most daring works

5. A Star Is Born (Film then Soundtrack in full) - “she’s a damn good actress too!”

6. Joanne - Her most lyrically personal work, to me not as entirely necessary to representing her versatility or her best though to be honest

7. Unreleased highlights (Brooklyn Nights, PARTYNAUSEOUS, Reloaded, etc.), highlights from C2C and L4S, The Cure, DWAS, etc.

this playlist (by yours truly :hor:) is imo the ultimate experience!

It has all the singles, some eras are sepearated by interludes.

Like someone else said, I would definitely put BTW last, it is not an easy pop album to digest. So in order I would do:

1. The Fame Monster

2. The Fame

3. ARTPOP

4. Chromatica

5. Joanne

6. Born This Way

The first 4 are safe and standard pop albums, easy and catchy, sometimes quirky,  tunes and melodies. Joanne and BTW are very “out there” , Joanne is just  a strange departure from Gaga and BTW is a whole other universe of itself.
