GoldDerby predictors ranked #15 Folie á Deux, so it is eligible, but it is not happening. To compare, Gaga is #20 as supporting actress and Joaquin is #17 as best actor.

I am not sure I even want her to be nominated. It is a nice song, but all three of her previous nominations were much more memorable, and she might be better lying low this awards year.

why she chose house of gucci and joker as her next projects after doing so incredibly with ASIB, i really wonder who greenlights the choices gaga made for acting roles. 

hosue of gucci was such an obscure role, no one was gonna watch that movie

FAD, really was ruined by the music, i honestly think it couldve done fine if it didnt force the musical element

Really shocked that they're placing her that low. Even if she just missed the top 5, to place her as some long-shot outsider who doesn't stand a snowball's chance just isn't realistic. Love it or hate it, JFAD was one of the most talked about movies of the year and Gaga was the best part of it. Actors have been nominated for performances in bad/unremarkable movies all the time and it can be the sole nomination for a movie in some cases. I'm not saying she'll win but she stands a better chance at being nominated at least than some names mentioned here.

I don't doubt Ariana could get nominations in lower grade award ceremonies but to suggest that acting in Wicked is going to be considered Oscar level is laughable. The academy also notoriously hates sequels and 2 parters (Lord of the Rings is probably the only exception) and that could really go against the movie's chances of doing well. If even the Harry Potter series couldn't win an Oscar, I don't see this one doing it either apart from maybe for original song or technical categories at a push.
