It's disappointing because in theory this and How to Train Your Dragon remakes, in fact all the remakes of this type COULD be interesting... if they just had the balls to do SOMETHING different with them - a different tone, a different art direction - put them in the hands of filmmakers who are capable of delivering on a strong interesting vision...

But they're literally gonna be close to shot for shot remakes of existing films and that's so redundant - at least a bunch of people got employed, that's nice
