I think her team is waiting for a peak on radio right before/after xmas freeze? which is a good strategy seeing that the song is stable on US radio atm and knowing that US charts are like 50% radio (lol but also ... see below) 2. They don't want to pull away focus from a potential #1 with DWAS as well, which I'm sure is informed by Interscope (thus the soft marketing with Disease TikToks) 3. They're all being careful to not overexpose her after DWAS, Harlequin and Joker 2 knowing she has a full album with PR roll out that will at the very least include a 2nd single and Coachella in mid-April. Not to mention Wednesday 2 later in the year. They're in it for the long haul. If there are physicals, I'm sure these will coincide with a live/recorded performance (+ I'm hoping an actual band collab and/or dj remix as well). I personally wouldn't be mad if they waited for the 2nd single and push the physical sale of both at the same time (like a+b sides). It would run her up the charts assuming Disease remains stable once the xmas songs freefall and gives them another chance later to push physical sales of the 2nd single again with another "variant." And before anyone says anything — there's a whole lot of artistic merit behind these antidote/poison versions. It's clear the creative vision and musicality is coming from her, and while the business/entertainment side may be a little less clear, I think her team is genuinely trying to be strategic about her comeback. Thank you for this thoughtful, reasonable and constructive post. All of these plus the era seems to be all about music -She wants a slow burner! 8
metalguru 912 Posted yesterday at 03:04 PM Share Posted yesterday at 03:04 PM Some of you are just overly parasocial... This is her song, and she’s a musician. Musicians perform—that’s what they do. Sometimes, they simply enjoy the art of singing, which is exactly what she’s doing here: embracing her own composition while experimenting with vocal techniques and different arrangements. This is so dehumanizing to see that people are trigger by a live performance.. 9 1

Not liking something is one thing; saying, "X is doing Z wrong because of V" is entirely different. The former is a simple disagreement with the artist or their music, while the latter creates an agitated, false narrative that the complainer ultimately has no control over. Choose wisely. 2 1

This odd refusal to enjoy Gaga for her artistry — ESPECIALLY when it’s just her raw vocals. And you know this lmao, get off of it, whining versus constructing feedback is wildly different. That’s what it proves.
