So much wasted potential. She gave us a cast for a plotless play

Been a cuff touple, a puff bupple, a tough couple of years.

a bit disappointed in the video, she looks stunning but it's just two scenes and there is zero story

I'm not sure singles were ever profitable aside from the itunes/mp3 days right?

Singles & album sales were massive pre-streaming or iTunes. And tbh pre 90s id say Singles were bigger than albums.

Hell pre-80s most pop acts were way bigger singles acts rather than album acts. It was primarily rock bands from the 70s onwards which were massive album sellers.

Where as most pop acts were defined by their singles output. E.g. most people could name a Donna Summer or Chic song before an album where as if you mention Pink Floyd most people would mention Dark Side of the Moon or The Wall.

The video makes me appreciate John Wayne -which is much more dynamic in comparison ... Kesha looks amazing though but you could tell they didn't have the cameras and the time to shoot what they needed to make this concept fully realised

This makes “greatest hits” make sense. Pushing a collective of singles to make album sales

I mean one of Madonna's biggest selling albums of her entire career is The Immaculate Collection. It's also the best selling compilation album by a solo artist & one of the best selling albums of all time.

Besides MJ, most pop acts who make the "best selling albums of all time" list do so with a compilation album. MJ is the only pop act to chart not just one album on the list (which is also the top of the list lol) but multiple entries. Most of the entries on the list otherwise are 70s & 80s rock acts.
