Unless its for an unannounced CGI series I doubt it would be. 

Since the rumour mills are talking about it as if its a big screen project its almost definitely linked to the planned 3 film saga or Daisy Ridley's film.

As a long time Star Wars fan I am terrified 

the franchise is in a very messy place right now and the fanbase is beyond toxic. It would be another example of her doing great in a project that won’t be great. I hope, and I say this with love for Star Wars and love for Gaga, that this isn’t legit (and I highly doubt it will be honestly. Bs rumors come out all the time)

While Gaga in Star Wars is like a little personal dream come true for me, I do NOT trust Disney to make a good movie at this point.

Hopefully Gaga at least learned from Joker not to sign onto anything until there is a script you can read.

It's not that Disney can't, they made some of the good new ones, but it's the majority of its toxic fandom who refuse to move on from the nostalgia from the first 3 movies and don't want to see it expanded. And called everything  woke, which is ironic, since Star Wars is the universe with the most diverse kind of creatures where anything  can happen. They even attacked George Lucas, the one who actually creates the universe, for the prequels when it was released initially.

Isn't it known by now that Todd is the one changing things up during the editing? I am sure Gaga has seen the script beforehand. There was actually lip reading video somewhere that shows Joaquin saying this movie is not the one they filmed or something along those lines during the Venice premiere.

I’ve been a huge Star Wars fan since I was a kid, but after Joker 2, I think she should stay away from big franchise films for a while. The Star Wars fandom is also INCREDIBLY toxic and no matter how good she’d be in whatever role she’s given, they’d hate on her nonetheless.

I’d love for her to work on a horror movie or maybe even something light like a romantic comedy since that’d be very different from her other roles so far. She’d also be great on a prestige streaming show on HBO or something. But please, not a big franchise film right now.

In Gaga/Bobby’s defense, Joker was more artistic and conceptual than most comic book films before it. It was really “Joker” in name only and was mainly a character study about how society treats the mentally ill. If she were to join any comic book or genre film, Joker was her best bet. Unfortunately Todd just kinda sh*t the bed with the sequel

if there's anything we've seen gaga do, it's turn around public perception around her time and time again. she'll always have a comeback and she'll always prove she's on a different level.
