But to humour that idea, by that logic why did they fund the Happy mistake preformance and Harliquin hidden show? Or why bother doing a press dump for Joker if they could have posted tiktoks since its the only thibg people watch? :p this is an open conversation, but "nobody doing interviews and live preformances anymore" while everyone is doing them is just not the answer to a bad promo strategy which led to the numerical flop of her best first single since Applause. I guess they can't afford physicals either to help the poor song out on the charts, or are physicals a thing of the prehistoric era along with interviews? :p There's your answer. You're comparing an established act, whos reaching legacy act status, to smaller acts. The game is totally different. Joker promo is irrelevant to discussing the shift in how music is promoted because it's a film not an album lol Of course Sabrina, Chappell, Charli etc are going to hyper promote their first major successful era. Because you have to capitalise on it. But look at how people on Gaga's level carry their eras. Beyonce - zero music videos, minimal visuals besides touring, drops an album and moves onto other projects or goes straight into a tour, little to no public activity excluding the tour. Taylor Swift for Midnights - no press tour just 1 US interview & 1 UK interview, no performances before the erase tour started, 3 singles (with a gap of 6 months between the 2nd and 3rd), relies almost entirely on fan activity to promote her music. Ari - minimal promo for the album, 2 public performances (3 if you include the Met Gala), dropped it for Wicked promo. Harlequin was a weird mini era released by surprise that she did 1 public performance for (the JK appearance) which was combined with a Joker promo interview. We don't know what the idea behind the suprise show was - because it's not been released and it's release hasn't even been teased publicly by an official Gaga outlet. Meanwhile, Gaga's LG7 rollout is following the standard roll out we've seen all other main pop girls do in the post-covid era. Release the song, drop a music video, pay for spotify & apple music playlisting, push out some TikToks and try to make a viral TikTok template. I don't know why anyone is surprised that Gaga is doing the same thing as literally every other established pop act is doing - even when she was doing multiple tv performances etc across the planet, the content was unique to her but it was still identical tactics to what every other established pop act was doing for promotion at the time. Like we've got lucky and she's followed the Taylor/Ari camp of actually releasing visuals. We could be stuck with the Beyhive where "We're the visual"

It's pretty solid I'd say, she has some older posts with more engagement but 10M views and over 1M likes in 4 days is very good, if a trend picks up like bloody mary, i think disease still has the potential to blow up and i fully trust it will because the music is good, that's the key here, she makes good music and eventually people will flock to it, BTW resurgence is the prime example of that And I'm sure they are seeing good results, she's doubling down on this type of promotion with 3 posts in 4 days, we see it helps the streaming numbers, but it also helps to set trends on tik tok and i think that's her ultimate goal here I'm guessing. If we have a bit of patience, we'll soon be able to claim that disease is a big hit And if it doesn't happen, we have more singles to come The melody that you choose can rescue you

GagaUnderYou 4,941
Lmao you can tell she’s suffering putting these TikTok’s together it’s not her style, it’s just trendy. We needed this during release week of the song. Not 3 weeks in. Looks like she records a bunch of stuff on one day and then they slow release it out. Her promo style is usually in person/radio. Hoping to see that in February when the album drops.
