Yeah, that's my point. I would say even with Billie, too, it didn't totally HIT until Birds of a Feather had an organic slow burn moment. Maybe that's my perspective. Now it's been one of the most successful and consistent albums in the last few years. I will even say, with Charli and Chappell, for instance, it seems there is more of an emphasis on cultural relevance than actual chart numbers. Charli in particular hasn't charted higher than 12 (her duet with Billie) but it is undeniable its cultural impact, omnipresence. Granted, the bar is lower for someone like Charli, but despite having higher charting singles, no one is saying Sucker era was more impactful. Versace 7,860
So sick of the fans here that act offended for us being disappointed in the lack of promo. Like for goodness sake when her and her team blatantly show promotional efforts with a budget for things like DWAS, JFAD and Harlequin but Disease the supposed lead of her highly anticipated 7th album 5 years in the making only gets a delayed music video, cheeky tiktoks and an acoustic performance in a cabin. No physicals, no radio or tv interviews, no live performance, not even in a random gay club. It’s not like Gaga should be busy with something other than LG7 rn or interscope has no budget. So many people I know don’t even know Gaga has a new song out. Sure we love the music and are grateful for it but you’re an absolute liar if you say Gaga is one of those artists who you fall in love with just by listening to their music, it’s the world building, story telling and visuals that she creates around her music is what ultimately made stanning her so exciting.

It's ok to express your disappointment, but your way comes off as very negative, flamebaity and against gaga so it's annoying people, they are not 'offended', they are simply annoyed by this negativity, I feel like you are 'offended' when you're called out and when your jokes are not passing as jokes but as a negative flamebait posts and at the end you're getting into arguments and bad situation that you could have avoid. if you can't handle these arguments, maybe it's better to slow down and don't post in these threads for a while. I mean "a delayed music video, cheeky tiktoks and an acoustic performance in a cabin." - you could have say this sentence in a much nicer way. I could play the moderator, I can ban you, die sis. 5 1

Well frustration and disappointment are negative feelings, why try to word them positively or nicely? I don’t want to feel like I have to walk on nails to express how I feel. Sure maybe sometimes I don’t express things in a sophisticated manner but then again its cause I care and know what Gaga and her team are capable of. I promise you and can share with you quotes on many members who have expressed things more negatively and less nicely than I have. So I don’t see why I should slow down. If anything getting judged for feeling disappointed in a roll out is just as annoying as the presumed negativity. Not everything has to be positively received all the time. This is a subjective perspective and I and others alike are sharing our frustration as a fandom. Because where else would you do that other than on Gaga forum? You are 100% right but remember, she is shooting Wednesday season 2 right now so she has a valid excuse. That probably goes towards further cementing Bloody Mary as an iconic song in her discography so it is a very valiant effort!
monstertoronto 8,747
This thread has turned from celebrating the anticipation of a “spectacular” album to complaining about promos. I mean she released her lead single and actually made a classic Gaga video. Some artists don’t even do that. And she released an acoustic version this week. And she’s made several tiktoks for the song and everyone says TikTok is the only promo that matters these days. And she’s reposting fan videos. I mean that’s a lot of promo. Are people literally just complaining that she hasn’t gone on late night talk shows? She’s making an effort and more importantly she’s given us amazing music!

The promo has been fine imo. Interviews and appearances are too early. They will (should) happen closer to the album. The video delay is unfortunate, and the single should have come out 1-2 weeks earlier for Halloween, but other than that they've been spot on. Playlisting, radio payola, video with budget. Magazine and interviews are pointless right now, the world is ready for xmas. The timing of the single is odd but aside from that's theyve done fine.

It’s performing exactly how it should given the promo choices. Z100 in particular has it in frequent rotation in the US. They definitely have wised up and are going for a longevity approach rather than a flash and sizzle. A steady song that doesn’t hit #1 is worth way more money on streaming than a song that his #1 first week and then disappears into the abyss.

Not possible when the Christmas freeze is going to destroy everything and there will be a new bunch of big releases in January, old and new acts launching their eras. Short and sweet was the way to go with such a late release date.

Especially for established artists
