She knew of the FAD mess before announcing the special. If it doesn’t come it’ll be because they can’t get their act together. Not because of FAD reception

I think Joker 2 affected her image more than we care to admit. They are being cautious, even though I don't think she will be permanently harmed. It will soon pass but requires some additional time. Besides, DWAS is still smashing everywhere, way more than expected.

The launch of disease was a necessary step to move forward, even though I would have launched it a few days earlier and at the same time as the video, and also let’s take into account the theme and sound are not so gp friendly, it will take time to develop, let’s enjoy it’s a full ride for more months to come, and if it doesnt chart as high as expected, well at least i will still be listening and excited for more.

I understand that artists dont do traditional promo anymore, there arent really tv shows or interest in music videos the way there used to be. I think that Gaga should have just waited to drop the entire album at once, that seems to be the best was of releasing an album these days.

There is a distinct lack of promo, but I don't know, I don't really mind it right now...

Would I like more? Of course. We'd all like more promo, especially because Disease is such a good song and its video is incredible. But I've got faith that she and her team have more stuff planned. 

She released the single right before Christmas music's annual resurgence, so I don't think there was much promo planned to begin with.

I also don't think the lack of promo has anything to do with Joker. Some people are speculating that because Joker bombed, she was rushed to release the song, but remember that she announced LG7's lead was coming in October right before Venice—which is where the first critics' reactions were coming from. Whether the movie was a critical success or not, they were still planning to release the first single in October. 

I understand that it's frustrating, but she said in her post that there's "a LOT more to come." I know we have a history of being disappointed by her, but I haven't given up hope yet lol

I don’t feel like Beyoncé or Taylor did any promo for their latest albums 

taylor just released it 47 times

Beyoncé dropped one radio single then dipped

so honestly I don’t think Gaga will give us a big solid era either

I think she’ll release the Harlequin live show as a Holiday Special to give that a boost. 

Since it was election week, she’s probably just lying low.  I really hope there is at least one Disease performance planned soon! As for other promo, I don’t know what else she could do?? She did all the talk shows for Joker and is saving them for LG7 release.

no. There won’t be any more promo until the album drops. She, her team and the 7.1 billion dollar record company investing in her decided to deliberately pass on ANY SINGLE OPPORTUNITY to promote the new project because they flipped a coin and it said . It’s all about Camila Cabello now. Get used to it.

Albums cycles/Eras as we know them are dying. It has nothing to do with the artists’ or labels desires and plans, streaming has simply changed the way music is released and promoted. Music videos are becoming less and less popular, singles are less important, award shows get fewer ratings, etc.

A few years from now, most if not all ‘eras’ will simply consist of an album announcement, album release and tour.
