Is there really no promo?

I believe we were VERY spoiled in the beginning of her career. She promoted the f*** out of all her projects because she knew it would make all of us happy. I don’t think any other artist did it as big as Gaga back in 2009-2013.

Fast forward to 2024, we are seeing her approach music promo in such a different way. As a longtime fan, it’s almost disappointing to see her go from 100% to like… 10%. I don’t want her to end up like Rihanna and take several years off from music. She will lose us if she goes down that route (but life happens… I want her to get married and start a family).

I trust that her team is planning something very special for LG7 because it would be career-suicide to not do proper promo for a major album (especially for someone like Lady Gaga). But either way, I want her music to be GOOD. That’s what matters to me the most. Promo or not, I want her to make an album that will be appreciated and acclaimed for years to come.

I think it was a buzz single, next single will be the comeback with album info + preorder. 
 

+ I guess Joker drama and the elections were a reason too.

There was so much more going on when Stupid Love came out, this just feels like they wanted to get it out of their way. If they don’t want to promote ****, fine with me, but don’t expect fans to loose it when they’ve been hype bombing all year for nothing

The song is phenomenal. The music video is phenomenal and high budget. Gaga is reposting the HELL out of it on TikTok. It’s not going to be a hit. And that’s that. 

I don’t know why people are saying this means there’s going to be a huge push for a second single lol. That’s kind of delulu. Since when are 2nd singles purposely planned to be larger than the lead? 

She has a long time till the album release, and that will require promo, so maybe her team is saving it until then. 

Also let’s face it, Disease isn’t a GP friendly song. So why promote it so much anyway?

even Chromatica had more hype at this stage ngl

1. Album pushed back because the team could foresee how the reception of joker FAD would be. The film was meant to be a smash and the album would ride on the hype… LG7 was supposed to be released in October and be a dark/“halloween” album … double album thingy along side the Harlequin companion album. Everyone inclueing GP would have loved Gaga for that, it would have been eaten up. 
 

But plans changed…

2.  As it was teased during CBT Movie of Gagas return, they could not wait to release Lead single in January so they needed to release it in October anyways… 

3. disease is not GP friendly, because of the situation mentioned they chose a single to please the fans, we being fed during the wait until the real start of the era. It will be picked up after Christmas freeze.

4. Gaga and her team are in 100% control this time and knows what they are doing. It’s gonna be massive

5. So what, no promo? Enjoy the music

exactly that, like i've been very defensive and optimistic for this era but even then my main point was to give it time but time keeps passing and... what's going on girlies??

I'm so confused by it all as well. Myself and all the fans I met at the London joker premiere were saying "SEE YOU IN A COUPLE MONTHS FOR SINGLE PROMO!!" And some people even brought tickets for the EMAs this Sunday thinking she will perform, but we're all surprised and saddened to realize she's probably not actually coming..

I fluctuate between agreeing with these posts, and being confused. JFAD, her numbers on Spotify, DWAS. This is the perfect time to really show out, but it’s also the holidays, and the election…happened. So who knows. I think we can acknowledge that the roll out is odd and just wait for what’s next. I’m just happy we can actually have threads like this now without people bullying the OP.

Gaga herself said “there’s a LOT more to come”, with emphasis on “LOT”. I know it can be hard for some fans, but I choose to trust her team. Everything she gave us this year was amazing. Also let’s not forget that photo she posted with contact lens and grey wig, she was hinting something. I’m sure there are great and exciting things ahead of us!
