Bronco 5,689
I mean it's kind of a no brainer. She's nearly 40, she's been at it for nearly 20 years now. It's just the way the industry is for women in music - the older they get, the lower the singles chart. Because all the promo networks start reducing the opportunities for them unless the song takes on organic steam. Its probably hit Gaga quicker than others because she "stumbled" with ARTPOP & has taken longish breaks between eras to focus on side projects. I mean the only exception to the rule on this is Beyonce.

Saying that she didn't have a #1 since 2008, and then after the remixes of Mi Gente and Perfect, that she didn't have a solo number #1. I think that's why the Beyhive is so relentless on this point, and the other fanbases just followed Yes, and on stan world we deserve the lashings from them. A reminder to us that we need to stop talking crap about our rivals, it always backfire on us. And also to stop hyping Gaga up. But this is an article, why didn't he write one about Beyonce back then?

The solo narrative is not only because the other artists name is so big it carries the song. That's probably true for Rain On Me to an extent. But DWAS is also one of Bruno's biggest songs and highest debut. The meaning of the narrative is that Gaga alone is a bit of a turn off. She needs another voice (no matter how big their name is) to dilute or soften the song to make it palatable to the gp Edited November 8 by Mr S

LittleMonster20 9,726
Gaga is an album artist since ARTPOP. Perfect Illusion and Stupid Love were moderately successful and not very popular among critics and fans … but that didn’t stop both Joanne and Chromatica from debuting at #1 and selling over a million copies? To me, going #1 with an album is more important and impressive than with a (lead) single.
HoeMoe 927
I gradually started blocking any account that brings up "solo hit". It's getting tired now. Although they were not mentioned, I find it kind of ironic that Katyrats are the ones who keep pushing this "no solo hit since 2011" garbage after the catastrophe that was witness, smile and 143. And eF this guy too. What’s fortnight 5

Battle 4 Ur Life 6,335
I hate to even fuel this negativity fixation by giving attention to it but seriously, this mf writes this sad excuse for an article that’s 100% based on opinion and a very petty, specific one. which is even paradoxical and futile by itself because, if she’s so unable to get a hit why do you even bother pointing out that she hasn’t been getting one, perhaps she’s already proved she doesn’t need one to get you looking and your time and attention and energy. you are already. too much even? like fr foff Edited November 8 by Battle 4 Ur Life Smash With a Smile

Preach. I spent more time today streaming Disease than reading that stupid uneducated article from Vulture. Guess they're having a worse week than the rest of us so why not drag Gaga.
