Question is - what would Kamala do better really? She campaigned for wall at the border too, she would continue genocide in Palestine, she would continue spending money on wars and neglect American public services. The only perk would be Hollywood celebrating and trans issues being in the centre of attention.

edit: this is an echo chamber here so you will fry me whatever what I say that does bother you praise Kamala. Point being : both candidates were bad. If you think about it Kamala lost because of the previous democrat presidency. It is a time for reflection on why so many mistakes were made, and what the goals really were. Beyoncé crying at the rally is cute but we need substance

False symmetry. They are in no way similar. The Democratic party is not a paradise, they have lots of problematic stances, and regarding foreign affairs both parties endorse and promote imperialism, as well as the maintenance of capitalism. But Trump and Kamala's personalities, the way they act, what they do, what they say, how they treat people, what they instill on the population, what they instigate, what they defend internally in the U.S is VERY different from each other, let's not kid ourselves.

I completely share your fustrations on Palestine and her shift right on immigration, but the reality is she was running in a general election and the US as a whole is not where you would want them to be on these issues.

I believe she could have been pressured to move further left on these issues with organised pressure and continued attention from activists. Trump, in comparison, has said he wants to deport eleven million people and has encouraged Israel to "finish the job".

The reality is Trump is a felon convicted of fraud, a rapist found guilty and held civilly liable by a jury in a unanimous decision, an insurrectionist who encouraged a violent mob to attack the Capitol in an attempt to disrupt Democracy.

He has no interest in protecting women by codifying Roe v Wade into law and has, in fact, bragged about how his court picks helped overturn Roe v Wade.

US enemies believe him to be easy to manipulate, he has talked about abandoning US allies distabalising Europe, wants to engage in protectionist economics with tarrifs that will cause mass inflation, wants to further the national debt with tax cuts for the rich, wants to dismantle Medicare etc.

Harris on the other hand, would have worked with US allies, believed US intelligence over whatever Putin told her, wanted to fight to provide national abortion protections, has promoted economic policies that will help the middle class (such as her tax credits for families with children, low-income workers, and first-time homebuyers) and wanted new out-of-pocket caps for pharmaceutical drugs and wanted to negotiate for further price reductions for pharmaceutical drugs.

The difference between the two candidates was clear as day in both domestic and foreign issues.

Democrats had a lot more substance than Trump and his concepts of plans.

Insane that fellow white women would vote for that freak.

So insane indeed. They have all been lying with being in Kamala camp all these past months. But did differently with their vote.

Dramatica

Well, this is democracy, we might not agree with what the majority chooses. The winner isn't one who is right, but one with whom a majority of people agrees.

At least according to how elections and electoral college system works in the US.

Let's stay positive, we lost a battle, but not forever

I didn't ask for a free ride, I only asked you to show me a real good time.

I just hope they enjoy being treated like ****. The second drump gets his hands on contraceptives and birth control, maybe then they will give a ****. But right, who cares about the fact he's going to leave NATO, right? Who cares that he's going to collapse the economy with tariffs, right? I see it all the time, repubeicans only care when something happens to THEM. Bunch of selfish, inept, incestuous morons. Well they really ****ed each other this time.

On my knees praying to any deity or cosmic force that might exist that he takes a celebratory ride in a very faulty Spacex aircraft with his new friend musk

It's strange that I knew this was a very real possibility but I didn't want to consider it. It's shocking to see how many white women voted for him.

I'm not American but this is going to affect everyone. The alt right is on the rise here too and this is another positive sign for them. It's a scary world.

Future Lovers

I don’t blame Kamala personally for this.

I blame the Democratic party leadership.

Looking at these returns, it’s obvious where the holes are. They have allowed the Republicans to completely indoctrinate young white men, and they have allowed the Republicans to indoctrinate Latino voters. And they have done nothing to push back against either.

This is a clear result of certain key voter blocks being pulled away from Democrats and Democrats not doing a goddamn thing to get them back.

There is no reason those two blocks should be favorable to Republicans, and yet they are. Majorly. That doesn’t happen overnight. This has been something building slowly across years and the Dem establishment just didn’t pay attention to it. The ship was sinking and they didn’t notice where the holes were.

Kamala ran a great campaign but she clearly never had a chance considering her party either couldn’t hear or didn’t want to hear the loud ass alarm bells being rung around certain key voting blocks.

it’s not enough to stand there and say Donald Trump is bad. You have to actually reach out to these voters and attempt to deconstruct the false reality that the Republicans have created in their eyes. And the Democrats just didn’t do it. They just let Republicans have these voters.

I've been saying that Gen Z are the new boomers and noone listens. They only differ from their conservative right-wing counterparts by pretending they care about important causes. Performative activism for clout, rather than just outright spewing hatred like our elders. Which arguably is worse. More deceptive and fake.. like everything in this fake, social media infested world we live in. I'm beyond disappointed in the youth vote

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
