This debut is 27 because this is her most lukewarm lead single roll-out ever. Tempo, genre, etc. is only a small factor. 

Still, a really good song! 

There could be 7 songs on a playlist, and all it takes is one being a ballad.

This becoming her lowest charting lead single, could have them rethink, change or delay the album/era.

DWAS peaked at #2 after 11 weeks. Vegas live isn’t on Spotify. They're in it for longevity and it’s clearly working.

I assume the same with Disease especially with the delayed release of the MV, no physical versions/merch, or remixes. It’s also US election week so I wouldn’t be surprised if she does some social posts here and there but doesn’t push the song otherwise until the weekend/next week.

The song and MV has a lot of fan & GP love which is really what it’s all about. Let the experts do their thing.

I don't know why so many of y'all seem disappointed. Her team has made some missteps along the way, and a lot of the time they try to bury delays and cancelations that make them seem incompetent. But them and the label have data that largely support the fact that her sales are heavily influenced by physical media. If they wanted to, they would have made CDs available. It's abundantly clear that the song was never meant to debut highly. It got less promo than DWAS, a one off single.

tbh a #27 lead single in its first week doesn't really matter at this point of her standing and reputation what she's doing because it's Laey Gaga, if someone cannot be cancelled it's her. She's proved herself the last couple of years over and over again to the point where quite literally EVERYBODY agrees that she's here to stay for all the good reasons. 

Just enjoy the ride, we as fans are in a lucky position!

Listen, it’s a great song and great video and while I don’t really care about the charts, where is the push from gaga? Why don’t we have any interviews, performances, physicals etc? This era is starting of lowkey like Chromatica did only this time there not a pandemic to use as an excuse. 
 

If we don’t get anything from now until 2025 gaga is going to lose even more fans again.

I'm just not sure what they're aiming for this era, and I don't want to delude myself into thinking her team is cooking something up in terms of promo, but I'm enjoying the music so I won't let that ruin the experience. 

I'm really hoping she performs at the 2024 BBMAs later this month. It would be her debut performance their too, which would draw more attention.

It's a spooky season song that premiered at the tail end of spooky season, and it doesn't help that Halloween was on a Thursday this year.

Also: the election. I truly believe people stream softer tunes during stressful times.

I don't need my queen to prove anything to anyone, but if we're playing that game: this was a tough time for the tune (and it's a bop, to be clear here.)
