compassionhills 53
i think the fame has higher highs/better songs (just dance, poker face, paparazzi) but ARTPOP works better as an album and is more consistently good. does that make sense or do i sound like a pretentious ass? 2 1
A Very Gaga Holida 20,820
The Fame! It’s criminally underrated by the fans. The singles + — Eh, Eh is a masterpiece that many fans are too boring to appreciate (I said it. ) (top 20 Gaga songs) — Paper Gangsta is THAT bitch — Summerboy >>> Just Dance but basic people aren’t ready for that conversation — Starstruck??? That chorus??? Deserved to be Gaga’s third #1 single even though I can see why it wasn’t a single, it’s less “huge” than the other singles and maybe slightly more temporal but it still sounds fresh Gosh, even Money Honey and Boys Boys Boys sound like smash hits. I think Like It Rough had less hit potential but it’s still a great, great, great pop song One day, Summerboy will become to the Summer what AIWFCIY is to Xmas and the haters will cry. ARTPOP is amazing in its way too, but all The Fame tracks are original songs, while ARTPOP has (great) remixes of older songs (Venus) and songs that were written over pre-existing beats that were almost unchanged (DWUW, ARTPOP, Donetella, MJH, Applause) Edited November 2 by A Very Gaga Holida 3 1

I agree. The Fame has the songs, ARTPOP has the listening experience.
Poltergeist 3,351
ARTPOP is giving me religious experiences since day one, so the choice is obvious! I've been getting messages from my deep waters

And disco heaven I actually find myself listening to non-singles much more than the singles. This is the rawest we ever seen Gaga imo and it makes sense because it was her debut, I think that's why i love it so much. The melody that you choose can rescue you 1

MajorMinus 163
The Fame all the way! The nostalgia of a “fresh on the scene” Gaga, the variety of songs, just the general vibe/aesthetic of it…excellent! I’ll never forget how much I loved Poker Face, Summerboy, and Paper Gangsta on first listen. It’s a Gaga we’ll never hear again - so it is beyond cherished in my heart.
Anderson123 35,819
The Fame will forever be that amazing debut but I overplayed it that much to the point I rarely go back to it now. Sometimes I listen to the singles + Paper Gangsta + Again Again, Starstruck, Eh Eh and BDR but overall the rest of the non album tracks I skip. ARTPOP is a much fun experience listening to it from start to finish and it does have some songs I skip but flows a bit better. I think it's just a matter of being the mood more for this or that.
TEANUS 12,712
Born This Way and ARTPOP are the most adventurous she’s been musically to me, I will never be able to put them down British social ladies with upturned pinkies, glasses clinking // xoxoTEANUS
The Fame Monster 3,842
This is a tough call! Both albums have their incredible highs and some pretty low lows. The best way to figure this out is to compare them song by song, so here we go: 1. Just Dance vs. Aura 2. LoveGame vs. Venus 3. Paparazzi vs. G.U.Y. 4. Poker Face vs. Sexxx Dreams 5. Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say) vs. Jewels N' Drugs 6. Beautiful, Dirty, Rich vs. MANiCURE 7. The Fame vs. Do What U Want 8. Money Honey vs. ARTPOP 9. Starstruck vs. Swine 10. Boys Boys Boys vs. Donatella 11. Paper Gangsta vs. Fashion! 12. Brown Eyes vs. Mary Jane Holland 13. I Like It Rough vs. Dope 14. Summerboy vs. Gypsy 15. Disco Heaven vs. Applause Looks like ARTPOP wins for me! Find your freedom in the music
