I remember Joe mentioning in an interview they gave the piano to the Rock and Roll Music Hall of Fame, but I'm surprised they're auctioning it off.

I'm suprised she's not keeping it herself with all the family history attached. She's got the room for it.

Great that it will benefit the foundation, hopefully someone buys it who will actually play it or display it in a museum.

Ngl a full fledged Gaga museum would be iconic (and lord knows she has more than enough archival material to fill one)

Wtf though if they donated it to the Rock and Roll Music Hall of Fame to be publicly on show for people to see and admire then it feels a bit disrespectful for them to just auction it off to a private buyer. At least donations are going to BTWF. It's just shocking that her childhood piano that started her WHOLE career and entire life is going to be owned by one person sitting in their house. Idk how Gaga feels about it but this would be one of my most prized possessions if I was her. Maybe she doesn't care though idk

“Her mother is quoted as saying, “When Stefani started to crawl, she would use the leg of the piano to pull herself up and stand, and in doing so, her fingers would eventually land on the keys. She would stay there and just keep pressing the keys to hear the sound. We would then start to hold her up or sit on the bench and let her tinker.” 

This is so adorable  I would never sell this, but maybe they’re not sentimental about material possessions.

Some ppl dont like to hang on to things so i dunno

 

I myself hate collecting things and cluttering and throw out or donate almost everything i no longer use

 

Dont get me wrong, I do keep a few momentos here and there of especially high sentimental value. But thats it
