Bok 263
I love the color palette to be honest but in this case it was better that she took one thing off before leaving the house, because the video's contrast with sun and plague doctor is gold.

Starmie25 13,077
I disagree. The broad daylight matches perfectly with the song.

That's what makes it more uncomfortable and unsettling because she's illustrating how perfection doesn't exist even in the suburban landscape. If anything it's a paradox illustrating that even in something that is supposed to be, look, or come off as safe and secure, there are variables that will find their way toward "running you down" or "holding you down" and that these inner demons can exist at any point in time even when we feel secure in our surroundings. Exactly. You call tell she was inspired by the source of great horror movies instead of these disney show knocks everyone keeps referencing from their childhoods Like no it’s not more spooky and again making the song as a halloween exclusive over her general dark TFM vibe that’s classic year round is not really a good idea

Schwerk 6,984
I prefer her fighting her demons in daylight. Especially the walking on her back scene works very well with the daylight pooring in and that extra streak of light across her face. The surveillance camera colour effect is nice, but a whole video with it would be overkill. A filter like that hides a lot and would make now carefully set up shots seem amateur to me, cause I'm so used to filters being used to 'save' footage. According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch 2

fede ARTPOP 6,202
The video could have a second version, something like your concept would be iconic, like “Horror Version” I wanted something more twisted for the lead video, visually is stunning. now·taw·ree·uhs bee·uhng
BELLYACHE 926
7 hours ago, OliviaRodrigoStan said: So, when we got the first visual teasers for the song, we were presented with these SAW-looking images of an old TV, with saturated greens, and a very stylized approach: However, when the first clips of the video were posted, and I took a peek at Tanu Muiño's work, it was clear to me that was not going to be the artistic direction for the video. HOWEVER, after watching the video, I couldn't help myself, and for curiosity's sake, I edited it to more closely resemble the aesthetic we were originally presented with, on the teasers: It's such an interesting contrast, because it truly is just a shift in the color palette, yet the end result brings quite a different experience. I feel like particularly the indoor scenes, benefit greatly from a colder palette, as it reinforces the claustrophobic feeling of the song. Certain scenes feel more unsettling when presented in a more distant, colder manner. It adds to the idea of the solitude present in a battle with one self. The decision of filming most of the video in broad daylight, informs the tone. And it may have diminished the impact, of the horror imagery from certain shots. Some of the makeup looks also gain depth when stylized in fantasy lighting, as it strenghtens the eerieness of the aesthetic approach. Of course, not every single shot benefits from excessive styling. There are moments from the video which work very well in natural lighting, like the car chasing scene. The seemingly normal and tranquil environment, clashes with the perceived danger of the situation, and it works. But it is impossible for me not to notice how the more horror-like elements do feel more organic, when presented in a highly stylized way. So that's literally it. I was just wondering how the video would look like, if it was edited like the teasers . The natural lighting approach works for me, on certain scenes, but for visuals like the cell battle, I would've preferred a more stylized delivery . Heyy what’s the app and filter you usedd I wanna make an edittt

It's free on the playstore, and very easy to use. Once you install it on your phone, just go to the video, click on the "filter" option, and then click on the custom option. In there, you can customize it to your liking. To match the teaser visuals, I decreased the saturation, then gave it a green hue, then added blue, etc. Just keep playing with it until it looks to your liking. It has pre-determined filters, but they're generally not good . You can also just try to make it look more red, more purple, or whatever color you want. I thought of making a red edit, mimicking Nine Inch Nails' "Closer" video But I'm too lazy for it today HEART OF EVER-FROST
