It's a bit silly to deny that just because one has had a bigger effect on you. To claim she hasn't influenced anybody or having never even been mentioned as an influence is a lie. Chappell Roan alone has name dropped Katy as a big influence several times in the last year, along with a lot of newer artists. We constantly look delusional when we have these takes. Just how you think it's not valid to connect Katy with Gaga, some Beyoncé fans would probably say the same about your association of the two. It has nothing to do with favoriting an artist. I never said I hate Katy, actually I love her music and her as a persona, but no matter what you just can’t put them in the same pot I’m sorry for you. I’m not talking about their debuts but about their careers at all. You simply can’t be delulu and say that Katy has ever had the same success as Gaga and I’m not saying it as a fan but as a fact. Katy peaked in 2015 even since she flopped terribly even though I still love her music tho.
