You just feel like a ****ing idiot now because she has validated everyone who was rightfully questioning her silence. I don't think she's validating anyone...I mean, the term "damage control" might be a bit hyperbolic since literally no one except chronically online stans care about her "silence," but it is obvious she posted this to ease anyone's concerns that she might stay quiet for Disease's rollout. Also, no. People questioning her silence were not "rightfully" doing so. It's been 3 days. The release of the single was supposed to be the start of the era and it clearly does not feel that way. 1 2

You've said if she still said nothing by next week, you'd agree there was a problem. And then you'd be met with the mob telling you to just enjoy the music, and when the video comes, it comes. You decided next week was your limit, only a matter of days. For some, the threshold was sooner. Dropping your lead single after 4.5 years and doing nothing else than to say it's out is odd. Hadn't you or others also acknowledged because the whole team was silent, it must be on purpose? So yes: it was noticeable. Either intentional or a cause for concern. People felt it and expressed it. So you guys really should get off the high horses. People support Gaga here, it's obvious when people are just being trolls. The vast majority are rooting for her and also frustrated at the lack of info that was supposed to change once the era started.
Tom Nook 37,756
I’ve been enjoying my Halloween weekend plans and playing the song on repeat the fact that this fanbase had a meltdown in span of 48 hours is embarrassing little managers stop living like it’s 2013 Uh Red Wine... So if she continued to not say anything until Sunday, November 3, then yeah, I'd think it was weird. And no, I don't think I would've been met with the "mob" because I'd like to think by that time most people would've agreed that her silence was strange too. But yes, I did say that her entire team + Interscope being rather silent on the matter felt intentional. If everyone on her team and Interscope were doing everything in their power to promote Disease and Gaga was the only one not saying anything, that'd be weird. But that's not the case. For whatever reason it seems like silence is part of their promo strategy. Frankly, this just feels like a lot of emotion for a song that was released 3 days ago. The era has just begun. The people complaining are not the only ones who want new Gaga content. Tbch, that's what it feels like when people whine about her "staying silent" for 3 days. We ALL want more interviews, photoshoots, teases, posts, etc. Hell, I'd be happy if she just dropped all of LG7 this week, but we have to be patient. She is just getting started and as she said in her post, there's a lot more to come. Let's see what more she has to offer before critiquing the way she handled this era. ShayCristoforo 10,511
She might even be rehearsing for the next video tbh. If the album is out in February, the next single could come in December or January. We know she works incredibly hard. Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time. 2

Yes there IS a lot of emotion. It's not just the last 3 days, it's the last 4.5 years. That's what I think you're missing. It's a very loaded moment. Which is why, I personally am trying to forget anything I was expecting. But that takes work. We all went into this with expectations. That's the default. It didn't feel right to a lot of people, Gaga addressed it, we are good now. What does hostility from members who didn't share the same anxiety do now? Good for y'all. Continue to be unbothered. Some of us are neurotic overthinkers and Gaga still loves us and recognizes that.

Lady Palutena 3,140
Any Rihanna fans on here? On topic: Some of ya'll are such a mess. Why is chart success so important to you? How does how her song does commercially affect you? How does her releasing a music video (or not) impact your lives in any meaningful way? Adoremus in caelum, Palutena. Dea luminis.
