Disease streaming numbers have been falling but here is why this Disease can still go viral.

 

The music video is not out yet. Gaga's music videos usually provide a visual spectacle and provide more context to the song lyrics' so I am sure this will help with the popularity of the song.

Gaga hasn't performed the song live and on TV. And as we know the chart performance of many of Gaga's songs are very sensitive to live performances. 

The song still has a lot of potential to go viral on Tik Tok. Specially as Halloween is coming up this week and we all know anime fans and tv show fans in general love to edit clips to Gaga's songs. 

The reception to the song has mostly been acclaim from fans, critics, and the GP. If the song is falling is mostly because it is a risky first single and many people are not aware of it yet.

There is nothing that sounds like it in the Top 40. The song is an industrial pop song that has very unconventional vocals and lyrics for a pop song.

You guys are unbearable. The damn song has been out for a couple of days with no promo, no video, no performance, nothing yet and y'all are complaining it's not #1 everywhere. It's only normal for a song not to do as big as y'all expected. It's not the end of the world. Relax. She won't be dropped by her label anytime soon.

I mean, Gaga has performed plenty of singles that went nowhere, I don't feel like there is this strong link anymore between her performing something on tv and it having remarkable pay-off.

Halloween momentum could've helped this one beyond anything but they're too late for that. The song with its mv should have been out weeks ago already for that to work.

The glaring problem of this single era is that people are still investing in Gaga's DWAS mini era. The visual aesthetic of the mv really worked, the sound is right on trend, and people aren't willing to let it go yet. This quick back and forth between DWAS, Joker, Harlequin and now this is simply too much.

I get that the song had little to no promotion yet and the fans praise it everywhere. However, basing on what’s cool nowadays and how the song feels, I think it will be a Perfect Illusion sort of performance. Maybe the next singles will slay. She does not need to slay every time, she sort of let go the elements which made her a star in the first place. So at this stage it is sort of like indie pop sort of thing. Which still can be enjoyed! Does Bjork chart in top40? Exactly.

We know it has great production but the song is too heavy and noisy for GP.
