It’s probably my favorite part of the song, it’s so full of adrenaline and culminating with the key change?!! Iconic! The song is very strictly about love and horror and strife prior to that and with this bridge she basically gives the song a runway interlude that transforms the speaker of the song (and thus the song itself) before the final chorus into being an empowered and explosive woman. Suddenly this song is about passion not just love. The “romance” of it means a whole lot more. Not really any of her other bridges do that (Marry the Night kinda but it’s a bit wordier). They maybe deepen a meaning or add more nuance but they don’t really *transform* it. Jack3257 668 Posted October 26 Share Posted October 26 1) Bad Romance (2 iconic bridges, wish Gaga performed them in their full glory still) 2) Perfect Illusion (I play guitar and ukulele, and this is one of my favorite bridges to play in any song…possibly number 1 outside of Taylor bridges) 3) Born This Way (love this one when she performs live, it almost feels like she’s a goddess descending to give us a message) 4) Just Dance (The fact that this song has three verses, the last of which has a feature, creates the illusion of two bridges) 5) Applause (bridge is simple, but effective) 6) Stupid Love (bridge could have been more creative) 7) Disease (IMO this one doesn’t really have a bridge) Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
