Expand From what I remember, during one of the JWT meet and greets some fans asked Gaga about whether she’d release TEA on LG6, and she told them she’d consider it. It’s also worth mentioning that around this time DJWS played the intro to the song during one of the JWT dates in Boston in Fenway Park in September 2017, which some people rationalized with the whole ‘Boston Tea Party’ reference … but still, playing the intro to an unreleased (and as you mentioned highly desired, I think one of her her most iconic unreleased songs in the fanbase) song from five years ago is pretty odd, DJWS also said after playing the intro ‘that’s all you get for now’. That combined with the meet and greet question makes me think it can’t have been a coincidence. By the way, during that same time period (JWT, November 2017) was also when Frankenstein’d started gaining traction in the fanbase and here on GGD because Gaga sung it during one of the meet and greets for a group of fans. Although as some other people in the thread mentioned it likely has to do with her contract (not being able to release and use material from previous albums), but who knows. Ok yes, I do remember the speculation of it possibly being on LG6 before it became chromatica. And yeah I still remember seeing the videos of DJWS playing Tea and thinking I’m gonna get to hear the full song soon. And yeah you’re right; this was when people first started talking about Frankenstein. The way RedOne talked about it in his interview was also part of the hype. He basically said it was another Gaga Hit banger.

He basically said it was another Gaga Hit banger. Expand I remember it so vividly, it was actually a pretty huge deal that we may almost have gotten to hear Frankenstein’d during that time. If you look up the threads dating back to November 2017, since the JWT meet and greet where she sang the song for the fans everyone started speculating about it. People were talking about lyrics, about the RedOne interview, about what they’d imagine a music video would be like, etc. It was like there was an official announcement and we were actually awaiting a single. It’s pretty hilarious in hindsight. It was a whole era. I remember Gaga also suddenly had this really beautiful hairstyle during this time with the blonde curls and retro outfits, which a lot of people assumed was meant for this ‘new’/OG LG5/Joanne follow-up era. Nothing ever came of it. When it was announced that Gaga would be performing at the AMA’s a few weeks later, there were a lot of meltdowns when it turned out she was performing The Cure instead. This whole site - myself included - genuinely believed Frankenstein’d was coming. There was never even an announcement. But I must add there was also never some sort of statement that went against the possibility of it coming, like the RedOne interview and the fact the news of her singing it backstage caused such a wave of hype on here.

But the full video was a stream of a radio station that was promoting her coming on the show and discussing a new single that was supposed to be released during American Horror Story Hotel. This instrumental was being played while the radio hosts talked about it and this video I embedded is someone that tried to filter the radio host talking out so we hear the music. I mean it also does sound just like a RedOne classic Gaga song and the weird spooky instrument in the end sounds just like what the Frankenstein song was described as. Expand I think that was just a rumor. From what DJWS said about ARTPOP Act II, it’s a thing where all the people involved have to agree to those things as in, Gaga’s old management. It’s probably not a thing about Gaga saying yes but there are people attached to ARTPOP she’s no longer in a good relationship with that have to say yes. It must be stressful for Gaga to be put in that place because she really wanted Act II to be released but probably too many bad experiences she has moved on and it’s been years, she likes having fresh ideas rather than use old songs.
