Then why speak on something you have very little knowledge about? Your initial statement just shows ignorance of how US domestic policy happens.

and your whole statement shows ignorance about global history. I suggest you look up what Brazil went through from 1964 to 1985, with full support of American military equipment.

chill Yankees, imperialism is gonna fall anyways 💜

And your whole post shows your ignorance… again.

I am fully aware of the history you mentioned, you assuming Americans are just ignorant fools shows your ignorance more than anything.

What I meant originally is your clear ignorance on US domestic policy based on the comment you made about LGBT policies.

The exact apathy I’m talking about. Hope you enjoy living under a Trump dictatorship

It's not apathy, I'm not voting for Trump but I'm not gonna lose sleep over the fact a celebrity has not issued a statement endorsing the opposing candidate when her fanbase is not voting for him to begin with.

then I guess you should reply quoting what you are referring to.

by the way, my country is not the one famous for people not being able to point a country in the world map

and if the current government has been so excellent fighting against bigotry, how come so many trans kids are still struggling to live properly without feeling threatened?

truth is Harris or Trump the US will remain the US. Judge that as you will. I don't expect much from anyway.

I guess you should remember what you posted because that was what my initial reply was about.

Once again, if you are commenting on this issue you need to learn the difference between state law, federal law, what Congress does etc.

The President or the government is not a fairy that can just snap its fingers and everything is fixed.

It turned out great in 2020. Her performance in Pennsylvania just days before the election was critical if you ask me, and she way literally rewarded for her efforts with the honor of singing the national anthem at Biden’s inauguration.

Any artist performing makes zero difference to the outcome of an election. The best thing anyone can do is put your AirPods in, play some GaGa and go to the polling station and Vote!

Yeah imperialism is really gonna fail when it's opponents like you are so flippant and knowledgeable about the topics you choose to respond to.

fun fact: bigotry against LGBTQ people has been a crime in Brazil since 2019, even though the president was a fascist. we as country still have much to evolve, but, luckily, our legislation protects the community all through the nation

If anything this thread has just taught me about the divide between Americans and non-Americans and how many non-Americans just want to see the US fail :icant:

I understand that you have your reasons why but I still couldn’t see myself wishing misery on any population of people.

Bigotry against LGBTQ+ people is also a crime in the US lmao. Hate crime and civil protections for queer people in the US are codified on the federal level and at the state level in 49/50 states. The US Constitution also ensures equal protection under the law (a provision that has actually been used to overturn prejudicial state laws passed by partisan legislatures). Again, I get that you get reactionary sound bites from social media and don’t bother to do any research, but a quick Google search would’ve cleared this up for you in less than a minute.

I’ll just say there are folks in this thread that are making it a little difficult not to want to punch down and I’ll leave it at that.

Another not so fun fact: Brazil has one of the highest murder rates for LGBT individuals.

Once again, legislation and the government can’t magically fix everything.
