Especially when it comes to presidential endorsements. More and more people are irritated by them trying to make us vote their way, think they have no right to and that they're too out of touch to understand what affects ordinary people. You know what way you're voting and that's that, it's rare to talk someone out of their position, so what's the point? And anyone who genuinely allows a celebrity to influence or sway their political opinion is a lost cause. Most celebrities who still do this are just looking for an ego trip if their choice wins, you just know they'll think they were the catalyst for it. If she speaks, her words are most likely to irritate voters who already have distaste for "rich celebrities". She's not like Taylor Swift who had a large conservative audience. If her words had as much power on this election as you think they do, she would speak. She hasn't because she's already being perceived quite negatively by the demographic that needs "convincing", because of the Joker situation. Her going on Instagram to say "Go and vote Kamala" would be mostly cosmetic. The entirety of the US population already knows who she's gonna vote. It's crazy how predictable this site becomes once you have been around here for awhile like me. Gaga's fanbase is leftist, she liked Taylors post endorsing Kamala and her endorsement would not matter at this stage anyway. I know plenty of celebrities who are anti Trump that have not chosen to issue a statement regarding the election. But that Vogue interview where she said she’s practically pain-free got me wondering. We all know Joe’s political view and family disagreements can cause a lot of stress. Maybe she’s just trying to preserve her mental health and well-being after years of pain. And I wouldn’t judge her for that.
