Ummm… plus there’s no such thing as being polite when protesting colonization and genocide. People are literally burning alive and we’re expected to be polite to politicians who are literally signing the weapons deals to Israel ? Heckle every politician about this. As Maxine Waters famously said - make them uncomfortable no matter where they are. Heckle every politician co-signing this genocide.

Anyway, I love how comfortable she's become  in July and August she was pretty robotic but she's definitely got her sea legs now and it's great to see.

I pray she wins. She has to. For the sake of every working class American, every American woman, every LGBTQ American, every immigrant, every citizen really  but also for our friends in Ukraine, our friends in Taiwan, our allies in Israel, and the people suffering in Palestine.

We need a human being at the helm and Trump just ain't f*cking it.

They can heckle her all they want. She acknowledged their freedom to speak, mentioned multiple times that the administration was working towards a ceasefire and an end to the war. Beyond that, she has no power to change what’s happening. As President, she would have considerably more. 
The more telling question is, why do none of these people ever heckle Trump for what he has said about Netanyahu, specifically that he would give Israel even more resources so that they could “finish the job” and “do it quickly”? 
I’ll tell you why: because they understand that only under a Harris/Walz administration would protesters actually have the capacity to organize and pressure. They understand that Trump is a lost cause when it comes to our 1A rights, let alone what’s happening in Gaza.

They can pressure but it won’t work because it hasn’t worked. Unfortunately in American politics you can only remain if you are in devout support of Israel. Look at what happened to Cori Bush - AIPAC made sure she lost her re-election. A ceasefire and a weapons embargo will not be coming from Kamala — and it won’t even been a thought at all from Trump — in fact he thinks we’re not doing enough which is INSANE to think , but considering his biggest donor is Miriam Adelson and his son-in-law is Jared Kushner, it makes absolute sense. Really sad state of affairs …

It is very sad.
We can look at it this way: under whose subsequent administration will be things be exponentially worse, not just for the people of Gaza but for the people here in the US? 
There’s only one logical answer, and I hope people remember that when they’re debating staying home or voting third-party.
I understand the heartbreak and anger, but I do believe only Kamala at the very least recognizes the humanity of the Palestinian people.

One time she was very rude to the protestors. But aside from that she usually handles it humanely I guess

I'd like to remind y'all of the Biden administration's policies towards Gaza pre-Oct 7th.

We were pumping millions of American tax payers' dollars into Gaza to modernize their industries and infrastructure as well as keeping relations open with Israel so Gazans could freely travel to and work within Israel while their own homes were being brought up to standards.

Biden was also promising sanctions for every Israeli settlement in the West Bank and openly condemned (and still does) the violence towards Palestinian people by settlers.

The goal was not only a lasting peace but a two state solution where Gaza would be freed of Israeli occupation in favor of self determination and, hopefully, a unified democracy.

I am certainly no fan of Israel. Netanyahu is a monster that should be dragged out of office by his people. But we have to remember while it was far from perfect, the situation continued to improve. And then Hamas attacked. Suddenly, Netanyahu had the excuse he needed to start his genocidal campaign.

Now, the ONLY solution for American leadership is to continue trying to negotiate back to the point we were at before Oct 7th.

Except that that isn't the only option we have. We could elect Trump and put the nail in the coffin on the dream of Palestinian freedom for good.

So, take your pick tbh.

Option 1) We continue to defend Israel while pushing humanitarian aid into Gaza. We openly speak about the suffering of the Palestinian people and believe that Palestine has a right to be a nation of it's own, free from Israeli occupation or threat. We open up pathways for American citizens who have family in Palestine to let their loved ones seek asylum in the States while the region is in chaos.

Option 2) We actively throw our support behind Israel's offense and not only allow but encourage them to wipe out Gaza and the West Bank, potentially even with nuclear weapons, in exchange for real estate ventures and military opportunities. Then, an immigration ban is enacted that not only prevents refugees from seeking asylum here, it puts Palestinian Americans at risk of deportation.

We don't have a great option in respect to this one singular issue but we have an objectively better option.

Like we've said, one candidate believes Palestinians are human. The other believes they're disposable vermin.

Oh, and just to add. The only way this ends is with Israel getting rid of Netanyahu. American intervention cannot overthrow a genocidal maniac. Israel's democracy has to do that.
