I don't remember seing it in the movie at all... I just remember her in that outfit singing That's Entertainment, smoking and dancing a little bit. But she was already upstairs.

I don't think that's Gaga's improvising. In the first Joker movie, Joker kissed a middle-aged woman exactly the same way Lee kissed that woman. It's definitely in their script.

I think most of you are missing the point of why some of us are mad. It's not about the kiss or that they cut the scene, is about how he phrased his statement and how it makes Gaga look like she SAd someone on set when that's clearly not what happened

That’s not really how he’s framing it. He’s talking about the rhythm of the film, which is an editing and pacing issue, not a performance issue.

The issue here is the kiss, is a pretty delicate thing, if Gaga would have simply screamed or said something to that lady this won't be an issue. If that man thinks that those headlines are inoquous, he shouldn't be directing Big budgets movies in Hollywood. I'm sure there are meetings regarding this rn in WBs headquarters.

He, in no way, said she did it without consent. That’s why I’m asking you to take a deep breath and stop extrapolating things that weren’t said. Something being improvised doesn’t mean there was no consent, it simply means it wasn’t in the script before shooting and Gaga came up with it on set.

Todd didn’t say it was improvised or without consent. Discussing Film Twitter account made that up.

This is what he actually said:

 

"It had dialogue in it, and, all of a sudden, I wanted it to be more of a music and vibe moment," Phillips tells Entertainment Weekly. "For that moment to have played, it needed dialogue behind it. Meaning, the woman said something, and then Gaga stopped and did this thing, and it just kind of got in the way of the moment."
