Anderson123 35,598
Such a tragedy. I never thought this would bomb this bad with audience and critics. People are clearly not here for musicals and comic book fans are very passionate about this. I don't think it deserves the bad numbers and reviews it's getting but wow. Joker 2 is way better than Morbius, Madame Web, the BAD Marvel movies. Such a shame that this experiment did not work.

I mean the disdain for female super heroes especially when written from a feminist perspective in the comic book community is very telling. You gotta be careful with your projects. It's fine for someone who spits out 2-3 movies every year, but Gaga has to balance a movie and music career. Can't afford bad flops like this. The real question is how are you this wrong on the fundamental basics of how this film was cast/made? 3

It's not Megalopolis levels of failure but it's not great for a 200M budget movie. Its already been debunked by Todd that its not true that it cost 200M dollars to make and market. Its closer to 100 to 150.

bornthisway135 426
I think this JFAD will end its run with nearly $600 million on a $200 million budget. Judging the stats of the first Joker movie ($65 million budget), most of its gross came from international sales: Joker (2019) DOMESTIC [USA] (31.1%) $335,451,311 INTERNATIONAL (68.9%) $743,300,000 WORLDWIDE $1,078,751,311 https://www.boxofficemojo.com/release/rl252151297/ So far, the $20 million for JFAD has only counted domestic ticket sales. I’m curious to see its first weekend globally. I’m gonna guess $35 million internationally with a grand total of $55 million.

And Gaga already has hit movies under her belt recover? from what? she's unharmed by the movie tanking, her acting skills were once again universally praised it's todd who should be scared mother, what must i do?

The script was rewritten several times during filming. 2. She didn’t have a complete script when she was offered the role as it wasn’t done yet. Sure you can say she shouldn’t accept roles that way, but what she read must have been very good and she had confidence in Todd Phillips since the first film was great. At the end of the day, she didn’t direct or edit this movie, so please stop trying to place blame on her for something she was not in control of. Ivy 11,603
Am I crazy for thinking Gaga did this movie because she liked the message behind it? Like I think they all knew it would get backlash but maybe she didn't think it would be this much Edit: on the other hand maybe her silence says she's mad at Todd Phillips she seems rly close with Joaquin but not as much Todd she hasn't really praised him much or anything Edited October 6 by Ivy
