"physical editions aren't even out yet" - that's literally dropping the ball, which I'm willing to give them the benefit of doubt and say she surprised them with it or something. that's what i mean when i say there's no ball to drop. this project is so underpromoted, it's very clear selling it like a pop record was not the intention it's a fan service to that tiny part of the fanbase who understand her, it just exists to be enjoyed because Gaga really loved playing Lee that's why it's stupid to be having discussions about it being on the charts in the first place mother, what must i do?

Those artists that you're referring too usually have the physicals all shipped in the first week even for their side projects. You literally cant walk into a shop right now and get her new album, it's very different. A jazzy album will never get many streams, so what are you expecting? Number 1 without any physicals and only some streams from those who don't mind jazz? 🤦🏻♂️
princedeeblebleble 433
Its pretty good for a cover album that had 0 actual promo and no physicals outside her store. Honestly I don't think she did it for the charts or acclaim but to show her pov on FAD. And after seeing Joker I appreciate the album more cause it tells a better story that was kinda marketed than the film itself. 1

Cher's follow up album to Believe was a limited release called not.comercial. Never charted and Cher + her team did a small run of physical copies. Was that dropping the ball? No. Because like Harlequin, no one was pushing for it to be anything other than a collection of songs the singer wanted to release regardless of marketability of them. We are lucky she shared it with the world. Harlequin is a gift. Gifts are not meant to chart on pop or jazz charts. IDK why this is a subject to make fun of. You can see clearly how happy she is in her Harlequin era interviews. She made this out of passion. Even Michael was involved.. We don't know what happened behind the scenes of Joker, so she made justice for her character by making an album. I'm assuming all the people making fun of this "flop" are saving their coins for LG7. They will buy every digital copy, vinyl, variants, since they are so chart obsessed. They better make LG7 #1 Edited October 5 by CharlieQuinn
