I can’t be the only person who was really bothered by the unnecessary autotune on this :air:

I think the people angry about the pitch correction are the ones that feel they have to defend Gaga for using it. The same ones who have Stan Twitter accounts and nothing really else going on to worry about so instead spend their time formulating reasons why their ‘fave’ is better than others. Very 2010s.

To those people, please chill and enjoy this incredible performance by an artist who no longer needs to prove herself (let alone you prove her for others) 15 or so years into her career.

Not at all, tbh. As a vocalist, I don’t like the pitch correction because I wanna hear the artist’s natural tone when they perform live. I know Gaga can deliver on that front, but the pitch correction distorts it in ways that make it less enjoyable for me. Not every divergence in taste is about stan wars ♥️

Finally someone who gets what I am feeling about the pitch correction. It's not about putting Gaga or her ability down. We all know what she is capable of as a vocalist, and that is part of the reason we love her. But pitch correction kills individuality in a voice, at least to my ear. No hate, just an observation

It's hard to light a candle, easy to curse the dark instead.

Autotune works well for artists who CAN sing. If one can’t sing, the corrections will sound very unnatural and the performance will be bad regardless.

They were very heavy handed on the reverb, more than usual (which helps creating the mood), but I also didn't notice pitch correction or autotune.

Send this to all the little complainsters who said her voice was deteriorating

Not uncommonly heavy than many LG ballads (1000 Doves among others comes to mind).

Which makes her voice sound more heavenly and ethereal if possible.

Late to the party but I got a diamond heart

You can hear the pitch correction specifically on the vibrato in some sections, some of the more closed off vowel sounds, and little movements between pitches. It’s not horrible, but it’s noticeable imo
