I'm excited to see it this weekend but I wouldn't be lying that I'm a tiny bit worried with some of these reviews.

King of the Fall

Pointless is the word that came into my mind after I left the theatre. The plot is boring enough to put you to sleep, the musical numbers add nothing to the plot and Gaga did a good job with what she was given but her character was poorly developed. Felt like she only got around 15 minutes of screen time and they could not even utilize her musical chops in an interesting way.

The reviews have been pretty harsh, the audience reaction is going to be much worse come the weekend so brace yourselves and just move on.

Hey, I'm king of the world, you ought to hear my song, you come on measure me, I'm twenty inches long

If you're not a big fan of Joker (the 2019 movie and it's character) this is a great film! I like it much more that the first one and I think the lack of more development on Lee's character has everything to do with the message the movie is trying to convey.

Folie à Deux is great! The bad reviews are because the movie actively refuse to give to the audience what they want from it (and because they sing every 5 minutes even though this "isn't a musical") and I'm sure people will give it more credit in the future

I don't know how to write in english

...just keep your expectations regarding the plot/story low.  like in your basement's basement.

Every review I have watched on YouTube so far drags the movie but praised Gaga to the heavens :brat:

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

Leaving the theatre i was gagged (it was full my birthday) Gaga was amazing but the movie was so slow and i was only excited when the violence or Joker came on, not when Arthur came on and the singing was too much.

But now to come into terms of it

Spoiler

The movie juxtaposes the Lee/Protesters with their Joker Agenda with us - we only love the violence, we only love the movie when someone is getting killed, or when The Joker with full face of makeup comes on but once "The Joker" doesn't want to be the joker and only wants to be Arthur Fleck - we turn our backs on Arthur/Movie. Think about it; we only enjoyed the musical sequence with Joker/Harlequin but we would roll our eyes if the musical sequence was with Arthur/Lee.

I have questions though - do we think that protest group that brought the Joker into their car then he escaped - were they planning on killing him?

And why did that prisoner (who might be the canon Joker) killed Arthur? So he could live up to his shadow?

Oh boy…I heard a comment from an obnoxious gamer-looking douchebag that killed my whole mood just now as I was leaving the theater.
I’m watching again tomorrow so I’ll post my thoughts on the movie after a fresh watch with no douches because I think that’s clouding my judgement at the moment.

The film was not good. Not horrible, but the Final Cut Todd gave us was just…bruh.

i cringed when the straightz/comic fanatics would be saying their two cents about the movie/Gaga

though when i left my cinema - everyone praised her and the good parts of the movie was just when she would be in it.

I heard some gamer boy say (They should've sand Bad Romance)

Or heard one say Poker Face lady was the best part of the film

That makes me feel better. I guess I just got unlucky with the crowd that was at my showing. :crossed:

Girl dumb ****. The loud one said “Margot dodged a bullet” and then I’m not sure if it was the same guy but someone in his little group of three said something like they didn’t need Lady Gaga in it because it shouldn’t have been a musical.
The more I think about it the more they sound like guys that went in wanting to hate on Harley.
