As long as chest pounding Democrats keep attacking and shutting down any criticisms of Kamala, she will continue to hemorrhage votes.

We don’t need to worry about people voting for Trump, at this point we need to worry about those who won’t vote at all.

She isn’t hemorrhaging votes at all, quite the opposite actually (according to polls).

Trump is just gaining ground with the Latino community.

On its face this is scary but when you dig into it a bit it makes sense.

This is another example of the gender gap. Latino MEN are defecting to the man that wants to raid towns and lock 15 million immigrants in American concentration camps. This trend is true in latinos, blacks, whites, you name it. Men are defecting, not latinos. Young men at that.

This is also because Trump and Republicans in general enjoy an undeserved misconception that they'll be better for the economy. He's winning by 9 points on that issue in this same poll while Harris wins with these metrics:

+39 on immigrant civil rights

+32 on abortion rights

+5 on crime

+28 on temperament

+25 on mental and physical health

+26 on being honest and trustworthy

+21 on representing change

Kamala's support among hispanic and latino WOMEN remains commanding. They're split even, 47%/47% with latino men but she leads Trump by 26 points with latinas.

This proves problematic for her prospects in the Sun Belt states but she doesn't need a huge lead in the latino vote to win the states she needs for an electoral college victory.

The Democratic Party does have some work to do on regaining the trust of marginalized and working class voters but most of that heavy lifting will be combating misinformation without coming off as condescending. Messaging is key.

Crazy that anyone non white and non straight can support Trump

The funny thing is that white people are being screamed at on social media because not supporting Kamala is white privilege. But it's not looking so good for her among non-white voters.

What I find interesting is that if the polling is accurate, white women, and women in general will make Kamala win.

So even if Democrats lose support of some Latinos, white women will close that gap.

Clinton being more popular with Latinos didn’t make her win. And Harris being less popular won’t make her lose, although Arizona and Nevada are the states where the Latino vote is most important, Harris can win without those states if she does well with white women and other demographics.

It's not surprising that Trump is doing better with Latino voters/Republicans are also doing better with Latino voters.

They've toned down a lot of the overt racism about the border in regards to latino people. And it's not exactly a new trend in any country for settled and assimilated immigrants to be anti-immigration especially if they arrived via legal means. There's a known trend of "they mean the other immigrant" very similar to log cabin republicans believing they're only saying "god hates those f*gs".

Plus a lot of people who moved or fled to America fled countries like Cuba/Venezuela and are often anti-socialist as a result. So naturally they end up supporting the party that echoes that line and Trump's presidency saw a reversal of the Cuban thaw - partly why he has reduced Florida's likelihood to swing at election time.

Typical “I got mine, so f*ck you” attitude.

As a Latino myself, it’s incredibly disappointing that a lot of these people are gravitating towards this horrible man who started out his campaign saying Mexicans were rapists and murderers.

Men. It's not looking good for Democrats in general with male voters. For a couple reasons.

Men are more susceptible to garbage like crypto schemes, "brocasts" (podcasts like Joe Rogan or any of the alt-right echo chamber machines), and the mindset of "as long as I get mine it's fine". Male voters are consistently less informed and also less likely to have college educations.

In a lot of ways, it's not a candidate quality issue or even a policy problem. It's a quality issue with the base itself.

The good news is, men are also less likely to vote period. If Trump is winning among men but being dominated among women then great! All his voters will be playing CoD and chugging diet Mountain Dew on November 5th while women save this country again.

Absolutely. Women vote at higher rates and have been galvanized ever since Roe v Wade was overturned.

She's barely losing or coming in equal to Trump on many male demos but there isn't a single female demo she isn't leading by double digits. That's a winning coalition already, everything else is just icing on the cake.

Well South American immigrants, Mexican immigrants, Cuban immigrants, and Puerto Rican citizens living in a US state all vote differently so it's tough to paint them with a broad brush.

You won't find the same "latino voters" in Arizona as Florida and the pollsters often lump them all together which gives you junky data.

Anyway what I wanted to say was Trump has actually ramped up his anti-immigrant hate speech, it's just falling on desensitized ears. Young conservatives who may have just turned 18 this year only know him as the conservative voice. They were in elementary school when he was elected. So he's not so outrageous to them which is why you see Trump's popularity rise a bit with the youngest conservatives but dip with the voters who are old enough to remember pre-MAGA years.

Also another point about Florida! There are hundreds of thousands of Haitians living in Florida. If the Democratic Party could mobilize those voters they could take that state from Trump or at least put him on the defense and force him to allocate resources there. Something to think about.

Something I haven’t seen mentioned to is the fact that Univision is helping Trump. Their executives met at Mar-a-Lago last year and the subtle propaganda on immigrants is working.

My grandma who mostly watches Univsion and Telemundo cannot stop talking about the scary Venezuelan migrants and the caravans of illegals coming to the border.
