I didn't get this decision back in 2011 too, esp since ETOG is STILL my fav Gaga song  the sax solo was giving strong Whitney vibes.

But it was definitely a decision by Gaga since only You & I + the album were submitted for consideration & You & I is one of her few solely self-written songs.

It's the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom. Fan edits with the song went viral, and now people associate this specific fight, with Judas: 

Fans are actually hoping the song is used when the scene is animated . So it unsarcastically became a hit among shounen anime fans. 

And Genshin Impact was having a mini moment with "Just Dance" because a lot of edits for the character Xilonen (and characters of the new region in general), were using the song: 

But those didn't go as viral. If our fanbase was younger, and more unemployed, we could've plotted to take advantage of these moments, and make more edits to inflate her numbers. But I feel like we're too geriatric for that already

Yesterday my STRAIGHT otaku friend (which always playing games and watching animes and listening to game's songs and japanese anime's songs) told me, he been addicted to JUDAS lately and can't stop repeating and want me to intoduce more Gaga song for him ,and I was soooo surprised and happy, never though of it at all... really thanks to the impact of Jujutsu Kaisen edits...🌹🌹🌹

and back when JUDAS realease, I changed my mom ringtone to JUDAS, and my mom always scold me after her phone rang in public, she said everybody is looking at this old aunty with ringtone like this, please change it back to defult ringtone ᥬ😂᭄, but I didn't.... until many years later her phone broke ᥬ🌚᭄ i can't stop laughing when my mom phone ring in public and runaway leave my mom alone....
