In atrl this is in line with what several users were expecting. Given it is jazz/traditional and surprise released this was expected and still excellent!

Even though I love this record, and didnt really like C2C or L4S, I was really hoping that it would get more streams. Considering she is #4 in the world. If Taylor can get high numbers, why cant Gaga? And dont say, “oh it is jazz”. People that just see she released an album dont know that. So that is just a bad reason

My first contact with jazz was with Frank Sinatra recordings and then Cheek to Cheek. I don’t listen to jazz music very often, but I recently discovered Laufey and I’m kinda obsessed with her music right now. 

Thank you for introducing me to Laufey.  She's terrific, and wow, her ballads are so expressive.  Frank Sinatra was one of my dad's favorite singers.  One of mine, too.   I fell into playing French horn by accident.   Someone asked my dad to transfer a horn to another person he was meeting the next day, so it was sitting in our house overnight.  While my dad was downstairs in his studio giving lessons I discovered the horn by the front door.  I experimented with the fingerings and learned how to play some notes, and played some very simple songs.  When my dad come upstairs he asked my mom who was playing the horn.  She said it was me.  He said it must be a natural instrument for me, so I joined the band in elementary school.  Funny how things turn out.

When you look at the track by track breakdowns of how many streams each song received, you see that there was an initial interest, but a huge amount of people tuned out with each song, specially after the first one. She put some of the weakest material at the front of the tracklist and this is the result. The first 2 tracks being especially jazz heavy is a colossal creative mistake, for example.
