I semi dragged her the other day but this makes me feel bad. I've entered periods of depression when my life changes too quickly to process it. Totally get how that can happen. But ig it's good she's aware and is working w doctors, versus just living this lacklustre viewpoint her whole life.

Idk tbh, Im sure she’s having a hard time but part of me feels like it’s all part of their marketing plan. You can clearly see how theyve been trying to sell her to the masses/her fans so Im very skeptical.

Yeah see, this is a very destructive response. If someone shares that they've been diagnosed with or are suffering from depression and you immediately go "hmm, I don't know", that's devastating and completely invalidates the person. It doesn't matter if it's a celebrity, a family member, or even your best friend - please don't assume a person has an angle, or are being in some way manipulative for sharing this information. It's responses like this that make people feel like they have to keep this inside, for fear of being labelled "attention seeking" or "weak" or "manipulative'.

I wish her the best of luck, and I’m glad she’s getting help! I was diagnosed with “ADHD” when I was in 5th grade, but turns out it was actually depression so the medication they put me on was making things worse .

I literally just saw a video of her trying to recall some songs of the past few years and she was struggling with brain fog and zoning out. I totally believe she’s dealing with this and that it’s not a marketing scheme. But I see how some would think so because of all the things she’s been saying lately.
