There are other albums he’s involved that didn’t get such a low score tho, Feed The Beast for example got 63. I feel like they’re trying to profit from the hate she’s getting (that’s completely justified) by giving harsh critiques and ultimately getting clicks In the land of gods and monsters, I was an angel living in the Garden Of Eden

The 143 album is definitely not as bad as people have been claiming it is, it’s indeed basic and generic and uninspired but it’s not radically different from several other pop albums. The media is missing the mark towards Katy. I know she’s getting a lot of hate because of Dr Luke which I understand but isn’t it a twitter thing? The media is just going with the flow calling dr luke "just a twitter thing" is lowkey ignorant as hell, ngl it's good that the media is catching on and talking about it mother, what must i do?

It’s not like the type of song I listen to to begin with and daisy makes it worse which is not her fault. It’s whoever made her do the singing, probably Katy herself. it's not daisy! it's one of the producer's children iirc mother, what must i do? I said the hate she’s getting is mostly a twitter thing. Several artists work with Luke and those sites don’t even care and then suddenly it’s a reason why they should give the lowest score ever. I think Katy got the backlash she deserved. The album tanked. People are dragging her all over the internet. The biased reviews are kinda unnecessary at this point In the land of gods and monsters, I was an angel living in the Garden Of Eden

The album tanked. People are dragging her all over the internet. The biased reviews are kinda unnecessary at this point I think it goes a bit beyond Dr. Luke though, but I do see what you’re saying. Katy Perry isn’t an irrelevant “artist.” Sure, to some nowadays she may be, but she’s made an impact. The problem, however is that her impact stopped with Dark Horse in 2013 and she has refused to grow, and she’s proving she can’t and she’s become defiant: her VMA speech/refusal to discuss Dr. Luke. She has shown absolutely no growth. No efforts in expanding her artistry (enter Dr. Luke). It almost feels like entitlement — “I deserve this, just because I’m going to call it a comeback” sort of attitude, but with 0 effort, and of course, there’s Woman’s World, released while Katy is dining and yachting with Bezos — clearly struggling with how to help women in need existing in the world of 2024. Tbh she’s a clown, and that’s why she refuses to defend her artistry, because she simply cannot. It’s manufactured garbage. Reviews were appearing online after a few hours including Rolling Stone who called it 'An instant classic' when, later, the general discourse was 'actually this kinda sucks'. A lot of the media are just writing extreme versions of what they think people want to read at this point.
