Who cares, she could still win an Oscar for her acting?? That's what we all want to see! She'll come for that female lead soon enough, just you wait. 

And it does seem very much like a supporting role so not really surprised. Funny though how there are three 'pop girls' competing for the same award. Without having seen any of their roles I think Gaga has the best chance of winning still.

Gaga is the type that dedicates her all towards a role, I’m sure she knew from the get go what she was getting herself into. Also doubt anyone would dare to waste her time like that. Also even if we assume her involvement is a few scenes here and there, it would be more iconic. There’s never too small of a role. Many supporting actors have outshined the leads in countless movies and went on to get bigger projects pitched to them. I repeat, Gaga’s still new to Hollywood y’all give her some time. Her breakthrough role is probably some time away, she needs to build from experience. Enjoy Joker and LG7, we haven’t had anything in 5 years almost. This is a great time to be a Gaga fan.

Exactly, Heath Ledger as the joker is in 33 minutes of the 152 minute runtime of The Dark Knight and he steals the show, then someone like Beetlejuice as the titular character only has 17 minutes of screentime in the first Beetlejuice movie. Long screentime and character impact are 2 separate things so like you say supporting can outshine or just be a lot more interesting than leads

The movie is called Joker. (Not Harley) OBVIOUSLY she has the supporting role. In comparison to what that means in other movies look at Ariana in Wicked. Glenda’s role is very much prevalent and significant yet she also is supporting. Must everything be awful for y’all?

I don’t think she is rushing back to music because she’s unsatisfied with the final result of the film, I think she and her team had all this year planned to the tee. So they’re just following the schedule no matter how good or bad the film is or the reception of it is

Chile not yall gaslighting us. I appreciate the sentiment but we're entitled to feel disappointed and a bit robbed because this movie was promoted as though Gaga had a lead role and no one can deny that.
