I'm always annoyed when masculine violence is attributed to the entirety of the human race. Women, gay men, and transgender people have notoriously low % of violent crimes. 

Most of the human population are women, and they do not have these levels of violence, nor are they notorious for being criminally inclined.

This is just my theory but it seems to be a by-product of intelligent evolution. Dolphins, primates, dogs and crows hunt/ kill for fun. Inflicting pain, whether it be physical, mental or emotional, seems to give us some pleasure. One good example is the bullying of others. Many people get a hit of dopamine when they bully, or when they see bullies getting punished (two sides of the same coin). We are just wired that way.

And recently, I saw on the news that Afghan women are now prohibited from speaking in public, by LAW. The men doing this get high off it. It’s so incredibly sad. 

To be human is to be cursed.

Well even straight men, what percentage would that really be? The internet will show us the worst, while the 99.9% we casually deal woth daily that havent comited violent crimes arent even thought about

 

Violence against women should absolutely be continued to be talked about but wording like this that straight men automatically = scum and violent is just bad rehtoric

 

Its become totally ok to generalize straight men in everything, if stereotypes are applied to anyone else ppl would flip
