I didn't watch the video (cuz I refuse to give her a stream) but watched an unofficial lyric video. The chorus is ok but the song feels unfinished and the verses are simply bad - the pre-chorus with katy belting is just dreadful. It's hard to believe this woman was one of the biggest hitmakers in the world during her prime.

I have a feeling she was attempting to recreate a similar sound as bon appetite, but this song is so horrendously slow sounding that it actually feels like it's dragging on just to get through the first verse.  Isn't fast enough to dance, too poppy to f*** to, feels too boring for TikTok...like who was this song even made for?  Obviously not for herself either, since it's a lazy sample, was probably seen as an easy numbers type of sample.  But truly, how this made it past however many layers of authority exist to picking a single, is wild

Honestly this.  She would probably be better off going the Nicole Scherzinger route atp.  Continue doing b-list (respectfully, cause money is money) hosting gigs, maybe some tv cameos, she could even create/host her own "making the next pop star" kind of show - or go the Gwyneth Paltrow wellness route.  But if she is this uninspired when it comes to making music, there has to be easier and less legacy ruining ways to make easy money.
