Expectations & Hopes for LG7?

Although Gaga is unpredictable and we never know what to expect from her, what are you expecting from LG7? What do you predict and think the sound and aesthetic is going be like? And what are you hoping for?

- I think it's going to obviously be very different from her previous records of course but I think may surprise us. I also am hoping for a synth wave/ retrowave and disco sound from her.

Coming from ARTPOP, Joanne and Chromatica which are albums that were made about her pain, suffering, struggles, etc. I'm just expecting that all of this healing and happiness shows in LG7. I read some parts of the Vogue interview and saw a quote that said that Gaga wanted her fans to know that she's happy and that's what I'm most excited for. I love her so much and makes me happy to see doing this well.

As for the sound of the album well I'm just trying not to create any expectations or want to compare it to some of my favorite songs she has done (Scheiße, Government Hooker, Heavy Metal Lover) but it seems like it's coming with some hard beats. I know we just listened to a couple of snippets and Andrew seems like a nice pick for this so I'm curious to hear what they come up with. I like that she's feeling creative and can has some fresh ideas from someone new on board.

Now speaking of the era, I just hope it's everything she plans. We've have been sabotaged by stuff out of her hands so many times. It'd be nice to have 4-5 great music videos like the way she likes to make them. Just want her to go all in with the creative force that she is.

uess my biggest fear is that it is too EDM heavy. I want proper pop productions not just electronic music if that makes sense? Electronic production tends to age poorly whereas pop production using synths or live instruments age like fine wine. That is probably my only thought or request if that is possible

the vogue piece described the song she played as "unsettling but also bouyant". that sounds perfect to me!! 

probably wishful thinking, but would love to see her do a visual album that is more narratively driven that what we've seen done already. beyoncé's films are PERFECT, but are narratively loose and reference/concept driven. would be cool to see Gaga make a film that has a full narrative arc, maybe even where she's playing multiple characters? she did say she was blending acting and music at the CBT premiere.... that was over a year after joker wrapped filming.

I would love to see her bring more of her theater background as well as newfound cinema knowledge for the visuals. The last minute edition of the interludes for "Chromatica" were a highlight to the music and the worldbuilding made the concept more interesting. Making this next album more immersive would be a great step forward.

i just want it to have that Gaga edge we were slightly deprived of on joanne & chromatica — both of which are phenomenal, but almost too polished. her best work (imo) sounds a little unhinged or unsettling, like the production can spiral out of control at any second… and i really, really hope we get some of that

I truly believe we will be fed, almost to the point like the TS girl. Instead of variants we get different records or EP. 

 

I do think or more freely speculate that it will be alot of music comming our way, as Gaga said and pointed out that she has been in the studio alot and making alot of music. Some have said before that it seems like she got her passion back to make music, now we even have receipts by the Vogue article. Michael supports her 100% with care and love, Gaga feels the real love, she’s in a good place and accepted her chaos and explosive creativity. She’s ignited. 

 

With that said, earlier I posted a silly thought that we might get a trilogy or even a tetralogy. Now edited and in more detail.

 

Joker Soundtrack could be included 

in a Pentalogy ( 5 works) but if not, a tetralogy or trilogy might be possible depending of how big imagination and hope one can have.

Joker Soundtrack, our score composer Lady makes her debut. Showcasing even more of her versatility as an artist and musician and get the critics claim for it too.

 

2: Halloween EP October 2025

It got me happy by seeing people bringing up a halloween EP. Gaga claiming that same Maria Carey yearly income but in October. Queen of halloween, would love that for Gaga.

 

She goes full on industrial, electro rock with EDM and House elements. 

 

A mature BTW x AP, her RAY OF DARKNESS

 

An opposite of what Chromatica was, dancing through the pain, dark themes dressed as light, with alot of bright colours in the visuals and concepts. Heavy lyrics in happier sounds.

 

Happier and lighter themes lyricly and concept but dressed in dark.

The songs and lyrics might be very moody but are more cheerful and happy after decoding the dark and mystical metaphors and themes. Like she said, she wants us to know she is happy and to know what is in her heart. So it might even be day to day life lyrics but with witchy, biblical, spirituality word-play in the lyrics.  The visuals will of course be dark but maybe more minimalistic and raw. CBT film premiere carpet look x Venice carpet x vogue article vibe. 

 

The fact that her fiancé told her to make a pop album, might indicate the theme of love.

So still holding on to the heavier sounds while spreading love och lightness trough the songs.

 

I’ve read some other interesting concepts that I would like to incorporate here but I won’t right that now.

A whole collab album with other artists, remember the rumoured artists, Chappel, Peggy, Polachek…. Think a hand over the torch situation to the current pop/artist girlies, or young artist no matter gender. Making the opposite of what Madonna did

 

A dawn of chromatica but this time Gaga is fully in charge and makes it a celebration between artists and the importance of art. Making art/music together sometimes widen the world. Also I can’t recall an artist that has done a fully intentional collab album that also smashed ( LSD, but that is group?) Gaga, please be the first one.

Her original Jazz and piano album, asib vibe, maybe 2 songs with jazz-house elements(?)

This to keep her Tony promise and also once more showcase her vocals but in a body of work.

 

Side note: Might not fit in a whole year but maybe over the course of 2…. 

 

After that the movies/series and her actress career might be the focus, she also said they were coming back to vegas. So a show there while getting booked as an actress for a looooooong time until next album.

Now what I personally want for LG7.

Tbh, the course we’re headed to but I want well thought out lyrics and soul in them or authenticity, like TFM, BTW and some songs on AP… 

 

I really want Gaga to go the AURORA route…

Both sound-wise, those ethereal but and upbeat sounds, the more organic, folk with indie pop/experimental pop. Infections of a different kind is just otherworldly, would love and almost die if Gaga to does something like that. 

 

The blend between both upbeat songs and calmer/ballad that still holds the core of what Aurora is, is what I want Gaga to do. 

Yes she is a chameleon and so versatile but what I might mean is: I really long for something more cohesive from Gaga. Maybe the sound does not matter, it’s just need be polished and not everywhere like it can do…  

 

Love the dark and grittier sounds from Gaga but tbh I also do hope for more 

 

I want more 911, Replay, Heavy Metal Lover, Sheibe, Aura, G.u.y, 

 

Wish she would go as said earlier more towards Aurora or even  iamamiwhoami BLUE album sound  (that is also a visual album) I wish for those ethereal and nature like synths and melodies. Alot more mystical. Imagine her dressing in cottage core dresses with those sounds. 

 

I do wish for Gaga to touch on spirituality, and in some ways she has done that with here biblical references in her lyrics. And yes she has alot of songs about identity. But I miss those more deeper ones, more self exploration, self development,  the inner world with ourselves, us as human beings.

Spiritual theme can be cringe but it can be done right ( AURORA again lol) I just don’t won’t corny lyrics ( that plastic doll malibu Gaga saga thingy jeez ) 

 

I would also love a visual album, that would be cool. 

 

I think many of us just want something profound, that we can relate or connect to. Something that moves us or makes us think. 

Even if I absolutely have enjoyed her music through out the years, it does have been a drought between Joanne and Chromatica…. I wish her to be back on track with her art. This time she might actually be…
